    Dodgers recalled RHP J.P. Feyereisen from Triple-A Oklahoma City.

    Advice: He’ll take the place of Landon Knack on the team’s active roster — at least for a few days until presumably Walker Buehler rejoins the Dodgers’ rotation. Feyereisen has been hit hard in two appearances out of the Dodgers’ bullpen this season, registering a troublesome 40.50 ERA, 6.00 WHIP and a 1/3 K/BB ratio over 1 1/3 innings of work.     Dodgers optioned RHP Landon Knack to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

    Advice: While it’s not official, this move would seemingly indicate that Walker Buehler will step into the Dodgers’ rotation the next time that Knack’s spot comes around. Feyereisen to come up from the minors while also opening a spot in the Dodgers' rotation -- potentially pointing toward Walker Buehler (elbow) making his season debut Monday against the Marlins.   • Could make next start in majors
    White Sox manager Pedro Grifol hinted Wednesday that Clevinger could be added to the 26-man active roster next week to make his next start with the big club, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports. "We're expecting him to join us here pretty soon. He felt good [Tuesday]," Grifol said of Clevinger. "The news from our trainers was he's excited about how he felt, he's excited about how he threw the ball. We'll assess it, but I would expect him here shortly."

    Advice: Because he didn't go through a proper spring training after remaining unsigned all offseason until inking a one-year deal with the White Sox until April 2, Clevinger has spent the first month of the regular season getting ramped up. He made the second of two starts at Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, covering four innings (71 pitches) and striking out four while allowing two earned runs on six hits and one walk. The White Sox have already announced their starting rotation through Sunday's game in St. Louis, but Clevinger should be a strong candidate to make his 2024 big-league debut early next week at Tampa Bay, if the organization's brain trust determines he doesn't need another tune-up start in the minors. The 32-year-old southpaw will now officially remain with the organization, but he will not have the benefit of a 40-man roster spot and will likely need to show significant improvement in the minors before getting another shot in Boston.     Gregory Soto tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Angels to net his second save of the season.

    Advice: Soto got the call to guard a one-run lead in the final frame after José Alvarado faced the middle of Los Angeles’ lineup in the previous frame.     Zack Wheeler struck out six and yielded one run over five innings on Wednesday in a win over the Angels.

    Advice: Wheeler did what he does best out in Los Angeles, pounding the strike zone and limiting hard contact against an injury-depleted Angels lineup. The 33-year-old fantasy ace threw 67 of 106 pitches for strikes and allowed just five batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph. A second-inning solo shot from veteran utility specialist Ehire Adrianza represented the lone tally against him over five frames. He’s allowed just one run over 18 1/3 innings in his last three starts since April 20.
