• Xzavion Curry roughed up in loss to Rockies
Xzavion Curry was tagged for seven runs — six earned — in 3 1/3 innings Monday in a loss to the Rockies at Coors Field.

Advice: Curry’s three starts have produced a 5.68 ERA and a total of eight strikeouts in 12 2/3 innings. There aren’t really any interesting replacements available in Triple-A, so he’ll probably stick for now. Stretching out Pedro Avila as a potential rotation option might be one idea for the Guardians. Avila finished off today’s game with 2 2/3 scoreless innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:15 pm

  • Up to 55 pitches in rehab
Miller (shoulder) gave up three earned runs on four hits and two walks while striking out four over three innings Sunday in his first rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Advice: Miller's lack of effectiveness prevented him from building up much from the 51-pitch simulated game he logged Tuesday, as he threw only 55 pitches (38 strikes) in his first rehab start. It's unclear how many more rehab outings he will need, but Miller will certainly make at least one more start in the minors before rejoining the big-league rotation. • No decision yet on rehab start
The Rangers have yet to decide whether Eovaldi (groin) will require a minor-league rehab assignment before being activated from the 15-day injured list, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eovaldi has been on the shelf since May 3 with a strained right groin. Though Eovaldi didn't return from the IL in the minimum 15 days like manager Bruce Bochy had initially suggested could be the case, the veteran right-hander might be able to avoid a rehab assignment prior to being activated. He traveled with the Rangers this weekend and threw a bullpen session Friday at Target Field, and he'll presumably be reassessed when the team returns to Arlington ahead of its two-game home series versus the Diamondbacks that begins Tuesday. • Drawing another start
Curry is scheduled to start Monday's game against the Rockies at Coors Field.

Advice: With Carlos Carrasco (neck) recently joining the likes of Gavin Williams (elbow) and Shane Bieber (elbow) on the injured list, Curry will end up getting at least one more turn through the rotation. After being called up from Triple-A Columbus last Tuesday, Curry started later that day against the Mets and gave up two runs on seven hits and zero walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision. He'll tentatively line up for two starts this week, with his second turn expected to come next Sunday versus the Nationals. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:22 pm

  • Bobby Miller goes 55 pitches in first rehab start
Bobby Miller (shoulder) threw 55 pitches over three innings in his first minor league rehab start at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.

Advice: All that really matters is that the right-hander made it through the start healthy and feeling good. The 25-year-old hurler did allow three runs on four hits and a pair of walks in the ballgame while punching out four. He generated 12 swings and misses on the afternoon. He’s likely to need at least two additional rehab starts before he’s ready to return to the Dodgers’ rotation. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:11 pm

  • DL Hall having knee evaluated in Milwaukee
DL Hall will have his knee evaluated in Milwaukee on Monday.

Advice: DL has been on the IL since April with his knee sprain, and while he began a rehab assignment Friday, he tweaked the knee in that outing and will undergo further evaluation. There should be an update on his status after visiting with the team doctors. Rotoworld Sunday, 8:39 am

  • Report: Nathan Eovaldi unlikely to return Sunday
Jeff Wilson of Rangers Today reports Nathan Eovaldi (groin) is unlikely to return this weekend.

Advice: Eovaldi is progressing towards a return from the injured list, but it doesn’t sound like he’ll return this weekend, as the Rangers are most likely going to roll with a bullpen game for Sunday’s series finale against the Twins. There should be some additional clarity on his return timetable at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:55 am
  • Jordan Wicks sharp on Friday in rehab outing
Jordan Wicks (forearm) struck out three over a pair of scoreless innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Iowa.

Advice: Wicks scattered a pair of hits and needed just 33 pitches (22 strikes) to navigate a pair of frames. The 24-year-old southpaw will require a handful of additional outings to continue building up his pitch count and stamina, but he figures to rejoin Chicago’s starting rotation mix at some point in early-to-mid June. • Starting rehab assignment
Wicks (forearm) is making a rehab start at Triple-A Iowa on Friday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Wicks started throwing off a mound a week ago and has made it through several bullpen sessions without a setback. He may need to make one or two additional starts at Iowa before rejoining the Cubs. Wicks owns a 4.70 ERA across five starts this season with Chicago. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:10 pm
