• Homer short of cycle
Westburg went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple and two runs scored during Sunday's 9-2 win over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Westburg hit a triple for the second consecutive game, bringing his season total to five triples -- tied for the fourth-most in baseball. The third baseman did most of his damage against the bullpen, with his triple coming off Phil Maton in the eighth inning and his final hit (a single) coming off Pete Fairbanks in the ninth. Westburg is 6-for-14 with a homer, three RBI and three runs over the first three games of the O's four-game set against Tampa Bay. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:56 pm
  • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win over MIA
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 6-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Freeman was hitting second in the order with a left-hander on the mound, which is a nice boost to his fantasy value since he had moved down in the order with both Steven Kwan and Andres Gimenez back. Freeman has just 27 RBI on the season, so being able to stay up in the order in some starts will help his counting stats. He also now has six home runs and eight RBI in his first season as a starter and if his .234 BABIP improves, he could be a .250 hitter moving forward as well. That’s a worthy profile in deeper formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:51 pm

  • Tuesday return possible
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Mateo (concussion) won't be reinstated from the 7-day injured list when first eligible Monday but could be activated Tuesday, Jake Rill of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 28-year-old suffered the concussion June 2 against Tampa Bay and was able to ramp up his baseball work this weekend. Mateo won't be ready after spending the 7-day minimum on the shelf, but it appears his absence won't extend much beyond that. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:06 pm

  • Jorge Mateo (concussion) will not return on Monday
Orioles’ manager Brandon Hyde told reporters on Sunday that Jorge Mateo (concussion) will not be activated from the injured list when first eligible on Monday.

Advice: Hyde did note though that Mateo could be ready to go on Tuesday. Connor Norby has been filling in at second base in his absence, so it’ll be interesting to see how the Orioles reconstitute their roster when Mateo is eventually activated and how the playing time shakes out. • Joey Ortiz goes 0-for-4, fans three times
Joey Ortiz went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the Brewers’ leadoff man Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Those who picked Ortiz up after an outburst in which he hit four homers in a nine-game span last month might be somewhat disappointed that he has no homers in his last 20 games. Still, his average and OBP remain strong, and he’s not a bad play in mixed leagues while playing every day for the Brewers. It’d just be nice if he hit higher than seventh or eighth against righties; he’s only leading off versus left-handers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:19 pm

  • Marcus Semien homers in win over Giants
Marcus Semien went 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two runs scored in a 7-2 win over the Giants on Sunday.

Advice: The home run was Semien’s 11th of the season to go along with 37 RBIs. He may not have the triple-slash that you expect to see from Semien, but the counting stats have been great and he is cemented into the leadoff spot for the Rangers. He’s one of the most consistent players in baseball, and so we expect the batting average and power to tick up; however, the lack of speed this season has been a bit concerning for the 33-year-old. • Gelof gets Sunday off against Blue Jays
Zack Gelof is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: This is technically the first off day that Gelof has had this year, not including when he hasn’t been available due to injury. He’ll take a break with Aledmys Diaz getting the start at second base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:57 am
  • Getting first true off day
Gelof is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gelof has started in all 47 games he's been healthy this season but will step out of the starting nine Sunday after going 0-for-9 with four strikeouts in his past four contests. Aledmys Diaz will handle the keystone and bat eighth in the series finale versus Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:39 am
  • Taking seat Sunday
Schneider is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Schneider started the previous 14 games but will sit Sunday amid a 3-for-23 slump. Spencer Horwitz will step in at second base and bat leadoff in the series finale at Oakland. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:19 am
