• Anthony Volpe doubles, drives in one vs. Twins
Anthony Volpe went 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Twins.

Advice: Volpe doubled in the second inning to drive home Gleyber Torres, giving the Yankees their second run of the inning and an early 2-1 lead. Volpe pushed his current hitting streak to seven games in this one and is now slashing .265/.333/.469 for the month of May. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm

  • Rafaela homers in win over Rays
Ceddanne Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a home run and a sac bunt in a win over the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: The 23-year-old got a little bit lucky on a 344-foot home run that was well-hit at 102.5 mph off the bat but would have only been a home run in eight MLB stadiums. However, it continues a solid stretch of production for the rookie who has gone 16-for-52 (.308) over his last 15 games with three home runs, 13 RBI, seven runs, and one steal. He still has 14 strikeouts to just one walk over that span, so his long swing will continue to be an issue for him as he adjusts to MLB pitching, but we’re starting to see some of the fantasy potential shine through, which makes him worthy of an add in deeper formats. • Nick Gonzales hits first homer of season vs. MIL
Nick Gonzales went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Gonzales homered in the fourth inning to score Connor Joe, giving the Pirates their first runs on the afternoon. Offense was hard to come by for the Pirates in this one, as they were held to just three hits on the night in the losing effort. Gonzales has appeared in just four games this season since being recalled from Triple-A and is not on the fantasy radar at this time. Rotoworld Today, 7:20 pm

  • Recalled from Triple-A
The Giants recalled Luciano from Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Advice: Luciano has spent the entire season with Sacramento so far, slashing .266/.399/.344 with 20 RBI across 158 plate appearances. He'll come up from the minors to give San Francisco additional infield depth, taking the roster spot of Patrick Bailey (concussion). Rotowire.com Today, 6:45 pm

  • Giants recall Marco Luciano on Tuesday
Giants recalled SS Marco Luciano from Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Luciano gets the call to provide the Giants with a much-needed extra bat heading into Tuesday’s showdown against the division-rival Dodgers. The 22-year-old former top prospect was batting just .266/.399/.344 with one homer and three steals in 158 plate appearances this season for Triple-A Sacramento. Rotoworld Today, 6:24 pm

  • J.P. Crawford (oblique) starts rehab assignment
J.P. Crawford (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Tacoma.

Advice: Crawford was expected to kick off a rehab assignment this week as he works his way back from a right oblique strain. The hope is that he’ll be ready to return to Seattle’s lineup at some point later this week. Rotoworld Today, 5:48 pm

  • Report: Mets moving on from veteran Joey Wendle
The New York Post’s Joel Sherman reports the Mets are designating Joey Wendle for assignment.

Advice: Sherman adds that Yohan Ramirez will also be jettisoned from New York’s 40-man roster ahead of Wednesday’s game against the Phillies. Wendle signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Mets during the offseason and has contributed just a .522 OPS with zero homers and one steal in 17 contests. It’ll be Mark Vientos coming up to take his spot on the active roster and split time with Brett Baty at third base moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 4:55 pm

  • Nico Hoerner scratched with hamstring tightness
Nico Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left hamstring tightness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary measure since Hoerner was in Chicago’s original lineup, but it’s a situation fantasy managers should keep a close eye on moving forward. The 27-year-old middle infielder should be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 4:24 pm

  • Scratched from lineup
Hoerner was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against Atlanta due to left hamstring tightness, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Hoerner was originally slated to bat leadoff for Chicago in Game 2 of its series in Atlanta, but he will now be forced to take a seat. More information on his injury will likely be provided following the contest, but in the meantime, Miles Mastrobuoni will take over at shortstop and bat eighth against Atlanta.
