• Tyler Glasnow strikes out 12 in loss to Yankees
Tyler Glasnow had mixed results in Sunday night’s loss to the Yankees, giving up five runs on eight hits over his six innings of work.

Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, Glasnow piled up 12 strikeouts on the night while issuing just one free pass. Nearly all of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Oswaldo Cabrera belting a solo shot in the third inning and Trent Grisham slugging a go-ahead three-run shot in the sixth. The 30-year-old hurler got a whopping 22 swings and misses in the ballgame — 12 on his slider alone — while registering an elite CSW of 40 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he brings a 3.24 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and a 116/24 K/BB ratio (86 innings) over Saturday’s matchup against the Royals. Rotoworld Today, 6:56 pm

  • Goes seven strong to earn win
Eovaldi (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

Advice: Eovaldi was staked to a 5-0 lead after two and cruised through seven, merely allowing single runs in each of the third and fourth innings as he rolled to his third victory. More importantly, he was also extended to near his full workload, completing seven innings on 90 pitches after tossing 37 and 71 in his previous two starts following a nearly four-week stint on the IL with a groin injury. It was the seventh start out of 10 for Eovaldi with at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place next weekend when the Rangers travel to Seattle for a weekend showdown against the Mariners. • Cleared to start Monday
Arrighetti (calf) is listed as the Astros' probable starter for Monday's game against the Giants in San Francisco.

Advice: After he took a line drive off his left calf and was lifted after three innings in his most recent start against the Cardinals this past Tuesday, Arrighetti's availability for this week had been in some doubt. Fortunately for the rookie right-hander, he was dealing with nothing more than a bruise to his calf and made solid progress in his recovery in the days after he suffered the injury. He's not expected to face any major restrictions with his pitch count Monday for the front end of what's expected to be a two-start week, with his second turn through the rotation set to come next Sunday versus the Tigers. • Promoted to Indianapolis
Ashcraft was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, Alex Stumpf of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Ashcraft has pitched very well with Double-A Altoona to begin the 2024 season, maintaining a 3.69 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with an excellent 63:8 K:BB across 53.2 innings. He's already on the 40-man roster, so if he continues to have the same level of success with Indianapolis, Ashcraft could be in line for his big-league debut at some point this summer. • George Kibry strong for seven against Royals
George Kirby pitched seven innings of one-run ball Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby was in line for the win when he left, but a two-run lead was blown in the bottom of the ninth. Kirby has allowed a total of four runs in his last three starts, lowering his ERA from 4.33 to 3.81. He went without walking a batter today, and his K/BB stands at 78/7 through 80 1/3 innings. • Cole Ragans surrenders one run in no-decision
Cole Ragans limited the Mariners to one run in six innings and struck out nine in a no-decision Sunday.

Advice: The Ragans-George Kirby matchup met expectations, resulting in a 1-1 tie when Ragans departed. Ragans allowed one run or fewer for the eighth time in 14 starts this season. His two bad outings this year have been particularly bad, accounting for 14 of the 27 earned runs he’s allowed, but he’s been terrific overall and should have been than a 4-4 record to show for it. • Tommy Henry picks up victory against Padres
Tommy Henry picked up his second victory of the season on Sunday, allowing two runs on three hits over 2 1/3 innings of work against the Padres.

Advice: The 26-year-old southpaw also issued a pair of walks while striking out one in the ballgame. He benefited from the Diamondbacks’ offensive onslaught in this one — including a six-run uprising in the second inning. It’s likely that Henry and his 5.58 ERA will head back to Triple-A Reno following this game so that they can add another fresh arm to their depleted bullpen. Rotoworld Today, 5:21 pm
  • Adam Mazur obliterated in loss to Diamondbacks
Adam Mazur was obliterated in a losing effort against the Diamondbacks on Sunday afternoon, surrendering eight runs on eight hits in his three-plus innings of work.

Advice: Mazur walked three batters while striking out two in the ballgame. The Diamondbacks scratched out a run against him in the opening inning, then piled on with six in the second — capped off by a two-run blast off the bat of Jake McCarthy. Mazur settled in to work a scoreless third inning, but was lifted after allowing a leadoff walk in the fourth — and that run came around to score as well. With a 9.00 ERA and 1.89 WHIP over nine innings in his first two starts, fantasy managers may want to steer clear of Saturday’s matchup against the Mets in New York. Rotoworld Today, 5:20 pm

  • Gives up three runs in rehab start
Gray (elbow) struck out two while allowing three earned runs on three hits and one walk across three innings Sunday in a rehab start for Single-A Kannapolis.

Advice: Gray tossed 43 pitches (26 strikes) in the outing, his first at any level since landing on the 15-day injured list April 9 with a right flexor strain. He's expected to shift his rehab assignment to Double-A Harrisburg during the upcoming week, and Gray will likely require an additional start in the minors after that before making his return from the IL.
