The White Sox haven't indicated that Keller will be joining the rotation on a permanent basis, as the team might have just wanted to build in an extra day of rest for Erick Fedde, who will take the hill Saturday after tossing 8.1 innings and 108 pitches in his most recent outing last Sunday versus the Rays. Keller will be taking the mound Friday on three days' rest, so he could face a light workload restriction, even though he had worked five-plus innings in each of his three starts with Charlotte prior to his call-up. After having off days last Friday and this past Monday, the Rockies were able to temporarily get by with a four-man rotation, but Lambert will return to starting role this week as the team returns to a five-man rotation.     Advice: Manning pitched in yesterday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals where he struck out seven and allowed four earned runs across 4 2/3 innings of work. He holds a 4.24 ERA, 1.18 WHIP with a 17/8 K/BB ratio in his three starts with the Tigers this season.     Manoah (shoulder) struck out 12 batters over six innings in a rehab start Tuesday for Triple-A Buffalo. He gave up one earned run on two hits and two walks.

    Advice: The 12 strikeouts were a new career high for Manoah at the professional level, and the dominant outing offers hope that the right-hander may have finally turned the corner after struggling mightily since the start of the 2023 season with his control, command and velocity. Though Manoah was placed on the 15-day injured list in late March with right shoulder inflammation, the injury doesn't seem to be a concern at this stage, as the Blue Jays have just been waiting him to perform at a level that warrants a return to the big-league rotation. He certainly looked big-league ready Tuesday, as he spotted 62 of his 92 pitches for strikes while sporting a sinker that maxed out at 95.9 miles per hour, according to Sportsnet.ca. With No. 5 starter Yariel Rodriguez (spine) joining Bowden Francis (forearm) on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, the Blue Jays have an opening in the rotation for Sunday's game in Nationals, and Manoah looks like he could be called upon to fill the void. While Manoah would still profile as a risky streaming option if he gets the nod Sunday, his prior success in the majors before last season at the very least makes him an intriguing pickup if he's on the waiver wire. Criswell has tossed 10 straight shutout innings since moving into the rotation, and while his 1.65 ERA and 0.98 WHIP aren't sustainable, the 27-year-old may be emerging as a solid starting option.
