    • Back in action Wednesday
Harper (migraine) will start at first base and bat third in Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: Harper will make his return to the lineup after sitting out Tuesday's 4-0 win with what was apparently a minor migraine. Alec Bohm filled in at first base but will move back to his usual post at third base Wednesday to accommodate Harper. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago

    • Gets fourth straight start
Chourio will start in left field and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Chourio was on the bench for a stretch of four straight games from last Wednesday through Saturday, but he's now picked up starts in each of the subsequent four contests. Though he's reached base only twice over his last nine contests and carries a weak .579 OPS for the season into Wednesday's game, Chourio could nonetheless continue to see near-everyday playing time while Jake Bauers sees less time in the corner outfield and fills in at first base for the injured Rhys Hoskins (hamstring). Additionally, the struggling Blake Perkins -- who sat against right-handed starting pitchers both of the previous two days -- seems to have moved into more of a fourth-outfielder role of late. • George Springer returns from illness Wednesday
George Springer is back in right field for Wednesday’s game against the Orioles.

Advice: Springer wasn’t going to start Tuesday, but that game was rained out. He missed three of the previous four games due to an illness. Rotoworld Today, 8:30 am
    • Returns to lineup
Springer (illness) will start in right field and bat leadoff in Wednesday's game in Baltimore.

Advice: Springer has been ill and was set to sit out Tuesday for the fourth time in five games before that game was rained out, but he's feeling well enough to rejoin the starting nine Wednesday. The 34-year-old enters play Wednesday slashing just .140/.170/.160 with a 32.1 percent strikeout rate since April 25. Rotowire.com Today, 7:21 am
    • Notches 13th save
Finnegan recorded his 13th save of the season in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the White Sox, giving up two hits and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: The knocks were the first off the right-hander since April 12, snapping a stretch of 11 straight hitless appearances, but he was able to escape the jam and preserve a 6-3 win by fanning Nicky Lopez. Finnegan hasn't blown a save or been tagged with an earned run since the calendar flipped to April, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB over his last 15.2 innings. • Rhys Hoskins out 2-4 weeks with hamstring strain
Rhys Hoskins will miss 2-4 weeks with a right hamstring strain.

Advice: The timetable comes from Brewers manager Pat Murphy just a few hours after Hoskins landed on the injured list prior to Tuesday’s showdown against the Pirates. It sounds like an MRI on the 31-year-old first baseman’s hamstring revealed merely a low-grade strain. There’s a chance he’s back at some point in early-to-mid June, barring any setbacks. • Fine after freak accident
Soler (shoulder/head) didn't suffer any significant injuries after getting hit in the head while hitting on the field Tuesday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Advice: Soler took swings on the field before Tuesday's game against the Dodgers as the next step in rehabbing his strained right shoulder, but he was removed by a trainer after a foul ball hit off the top of the cage and struck him in the head. However, it appears the outfielder managed to escape the incident with minimal damage. He will be eligible to come off the injured list Wednesday, though there is no telling whether or not he'll be ready to play then. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:56 pm

    • Hit in head during BP
Soler (shoulder) hit on the field Tuesday but walked off with a trainer after suffering an apparent injury, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Tuesday marked the first time Soler has hit off the field since landing on the IL, but his session came to an abrupt end when he fouled off a ball that ricocheted off the top of the cage and hit him in the head. It's unclear how severe the damage is, but the 32-year-old was at least shaken up enough for him to be shut down for the day. The Giants will take a closer look at him and may offer more information on his status in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:55 pm

    • Jorge Soler leaves BP on Tuesday with trainer
Jorge Soler (shoulder) left batting practice on Tuesday with a trainer.

Advice: It’s not what you want to see. Soler was hitting on the field at Oracle Park for the first time since landing on the injured list last week with a right shoulder strain when he fouled a ball off the top of the cage that ricochetted back and struck him in the head.
