    • Strong rehab start
Scherzer (back/arm) allowed one hit and one walk while striking out five over four scoreless innings in a rehab start for Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday.

Advice: Scherzer restarted a rehab assignment after experiencing a setback late in April. He cruised through 53 pitches (37 strikes), induced 14 whiffs, and registered a fastball velocity of 94.8 mph, per Kennedi Landry of MLB.com. Rotowire.com Today, 6:29 am

    • Records just four outs
Montas (3-5) took the loss Sunday against the Cubs, allowing four earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two in 1.1 innings.

Advice: The right-hander never found his footing Sunday, loading the bases in the first inning and surrendering a bases-clearing double to Ian Happ. Things didn't get much better for Montas in the second inning as he allowed an RBI single before exiting with runners on second and third. Those runners did not come around to score, but Montas was highly disappointing following a dazzling performance at Coors Field last week, when he recorded nine strikeouts over seven scoreless innings. The 31-year-old currently owns a 4.55 ERA and a 1.39 WHIP with 44 strikeouts in 55.1 innings, but his inconsistency makes him a high-risk, high-reward play for fantasy managers. He will look to rebound in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Milwaukee. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:09 pm
    • Frankie Montas pulled in second versus Cubs
Frankie Montas got just four outs and allowed four runs Sunday in a loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Montas followed up his best start of the year (7 IP, 0 R, 1 H in Coors Field) five days ago with his worst showing in this one. He walked three batters during a three-run first, and he was pulled after giving up hits to three of the first four batters he faced in the second. Fortunately for Montas’s ERA, Carson Spiers stranded both runners after taking over. Montas is 3-5 with a 4.55 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm
    • Max Scherzer fires four scoreless in rehab start
Max Scherzer (thumb) fired four shutout innings in his minor league rehab start at Triple-A Round Rock on Sunday afternoon.

Advice: The 39-year-old right-hander allowed just one hit and one walk on the day while punching out five batters. He threw a total of 53 pitches in the contest and averaged 92.7 mph on his fastball. He’s going to need at least one additional rehab start before he’s ready to return to the Rangers’ rotation, but that day is coming soon. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:44 pm

    • Fans seven in tough-luck loss
Bradley (1-4) took the loss against Baltimore on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings.

Advice: In his previous outing, Bradley was crushed by the Orioles for nine runs over 3.1 innings, so his performance Saturday was a promising turnaround. However, the strong effort didn't make a difference in the loss column, as Tampa Bay's offense was shut out by Kyle Bradish and a pair of Baltimore relievers. Despite the defeat, fantasy managers who roster Bradley should be encouraged by his start -- in addition to allowing just one run, he racked up 18 swinging strikes and walked only one batter. He now holds a 5.17 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB over 31.1 innings on the season. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:01 pm
    • Bradley strikes out seven in loss Saturday
Taj Bradley allowed one run in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Bradley gave up three hits, walked one and struck out seven. It was a strong performance from Bradley, but the Rays were shutout so he had no chance of getting the win. He’s completed six innings in only two of his six starts. While Bradley has a 5.17 ERA on the season, his xFIP is much lower at 3.46. He has 39 strikeouts in 31 1/3 innings. The 23-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week.

    • Goes four frames in rehab start
Miller (shoulder) tossed four-plus innings in a rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Friday, allowing two runs (one earned) on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters.

Advice: Miller made his third minor-league rehab appearance, and he's gradually worked up from three frames in his first rehab outing to four innings Friday. The righty hurler wasn't at his sharpest Friday but he approached a full workload with 85 pitches and sat between 97 and 98 miles per hour with his fastball, per Eric Stephen of SBNation.com. Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said prior to Miller's start Friday that it could be the pitcher's final minor-league appearance before returning to the big club, per Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic, though a decision on Miller's next step hasn't yet been announced. He's struggled throughout his rehab stint, collecting a 6.97 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and 6:5 K:BB across 10.1 frames. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:40 am

    • Bobby Miller averages 97.4 mph on Friday at AAA
Bobby Miller (shoulder) allowed two runs (one earned) over four innings on Friday in a minor league rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: The positive news here for fantasy managers is that Miller averaged 97.4 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one and was able to generate nine swinging strikes, nearly all of them on his secondary offerings. He struck out two and also issued a pair of walks, needing 85 pitches (50 strikes) to get through four-plus frames. Barring something unexpected, the hard-throwing 25-year-old righty should return to Los Angeles at some point next week. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:32 am

    • Blanks Twins for eighth win
Keller (8-3) earned the win Friday over Minnesota, allowing seven hits and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: It's the sixth straight win for Keller -- he hasn't allowed more than two earned runs in an outing during that span, pitching to a 1.13 ERA. The 28-year-old right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.16 on the season with a 1.24 WHIP and 74:22 K:BB across 13 starts (79.2 innings). Keller will look to keep rolling in his next outing, currently scheduled for next week in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Friday, 11:00 pm
