• Lands on injured list
The Giants placed Murphy on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain Sunday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Murphy suffered the injury during Saturday's contest and is now on the injured list after an MRI revealed a sprain. Patrick Bailey (concussion) is also unavailable, leaving Blake Sabol and Jakson Reetz, who had his contract selected from Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, to handle catching duties. • Move to IL coming
Kwan will be placed on the injured list Monday, Zack Meisel of The Athleticreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old left Saturday's game due to left hamstring tightness and will now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half. The results of Kwan's MRI aren't yet known, so it's unclear exactly how long he'll be sidelined. Prospect Kyle Manzardo will be joining the Guardians for his first taste of the big leagues in Kwan's absence. Rotowire.com Today, 1:39 pm

  • Oneil Cruz homers, doubles in Pirates’ victory
Oneil Cruz homered, doubled and walked Sunday in leading the Pirates to a 5-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The double would have been a homer in 24 parks, according to Statcast. Cruz left nothing to chance on the actual homer an at-bat later, sending it 429 feet to right-center. Cruz ended up with two homers and six hard-hit balls in the three-game series against the Rockies. Rotoworld Today, 1:39 pm

  • Sean Bouchard homers, reaches three times in loss
Sean Bouchard finished 2-for-3 with his first homer and a walk Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: It’s still so bizarre that the Rockies demoted Bouchard in favor of Michael Toglia this spring. Bouchard probably isn’t a long-term starter, but he’s a capable stopgap who, unless March is the only thing at all that mattered, was obviously more deserving of the spot. In 11 games since getting recalled, he’s hit .258/.378/.452. Since he’s just a part-timer — the start today was his first in four games — he’s of little interest in fantasy leagues right now. • Stepping out of lineup
Soler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Phillies, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Soler started the past 11 games but will sit Sunday after going 5-for-38 during that stretch. Wilmer Flores will bat third as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 1:36 pm

  • Leaves with hamstring tightness
Refsnyder was removed from Sunday's game against the Twins with left hamstring tightness, Gabrielle Starr of the Boston Herald reports.

Advice: Refsnyder started in left field and went 1-for-2 with an RBI prior to exiting the contest. He'll have Monday's team off day to recover ahead of Tuesday's series opener in Atlanta. Rotowire.com Today, 1:27 pm

  • Giants place Tom Murphy (knee) on 10-day IL
Giants placed C Tom Murphy on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain.

Advice: As expected, the 33-year-old backstop lands on the injured list after injuring his left knee during Saturday’s battle against the Phillies. With Patrick Bailey (concussion) also shelved, the Giants will rely on Blake Sabol and Jakson Reetz to handle the load behind the plate for the time being. There’s no clear timetable for how long Murphy may be shelved for. Rotoworld Today, 1:22 pm

  • Josh Naylor hits eighth homer against Angels
Josh Naylor went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer against the Angels on Sunday.

Advice: That’s eight homers and 26 RBI in 32 games for Naylor. He’s fifth in the AL in both categories (tied for fifth in homers). Maybe he won’t keep up the home run pace, but he should boast exceptional RBI numbers throughout. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

  • Back in lineup versus lefty
Bouchard will start in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

Advice: Bouchard is back in the lineup after he was on the bench for each of the previous three games. The 27-year-old looked as though he might have been headed for a full-time role in right field once Kris Bryant (back) was placed on the injured list April 17, but Bouchard's opportunity seems to have fallen by the wayside while he's posted a .619 OPS through 33 plate appearances in the big leagues this season. While he's in starting nine Sunday against Pirates southpaw Bailey Falter, the right-handed-hitting Bouchard could end up occupying the short side of a platoon in right field with the lefty-hitting Jake Cave until Bryant returns.
