    Oneil Cruz homered, doubled and walked Sunday in leading the Pirates to a 5-3 win over the Rockies.

    Advice: The double would have been a homer in 24 parks, according to Statcast. Cruz left nothing to chance on the actual homer an at-bat later, sending it 429 feet to right-center.     Sean Bouchard finished 2-for-3 with his first homer and a walk Sunday against the Pirates.

    Advice: It’s still so bizarre that the Rockies demoted Bouchard in favor of Michael Toglia this spring. Bouchard probably isn’t a long-term starter, but he’s a capable stopgap who, unless March is the only thing at all that mattered, was obviously more deserving of the spot. In 11 games since getting recalled, he’s hit .258/.378/.452. Since he’s just a part-timer — the start today was his first in four games — he’s of little interest in fantasy leagues right now.   • Back in lineup versus lefty
    Bouchard will start in right field and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Pirates, Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports.

    Advice: Bouchard is back in the lineup after he was on the bench for each of the previous three games. The 27-year-old looked as though he might have been headed for a full-time role in right field once Kris Bryant (back) was placed on the injured list April 17, but Bouchard's opportunity seems to have fallen by the wayside while he's posted a .619 OPS through 33 plate appearances in the big leagues this season. While he's in starting nine Sunday against Pirates southpaw Bailey Falter, the right-handed-hitting Bouchard could end up occupying the short side of a platoon in right field with the lefty-hitting Jake Cave until Bryant returns.
