    • Riley Greene leads Tigers to win over Phillies
Riley Greene hit an RBI triple on Tuesday, propelling the Tigers to a 4-1 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Greene capped off Detroit’s four-run outburst in the fourth inning with a run-scoring triple to right field off Phillies starter Ranger Suárez. It wound up being his lone hit during a low-scoring affair at pitcher-friendly Comerica Park. The 23-year-old former top prospect has managed to stay healthy and finally make the leap to upper-echelon fantasy contributor status this season with an .850 OPS to go along with 50 runs scored, 15 homers, 41 RBI and four steals through 78 contests. • Progressing in baseball activities
Carpenter (back) took swings off a tee Monday and participated in throwing/running drills Tuesday, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down in late May due to a lumbar spine stress fracture, but he's now back to taking part in baseball activities. Carpenter still has significant rehab work to do before being ready for game action, and he'll likely require a minor-league rehab assignment before rejoining the Tigers. Rotowire.com Today, 2:04 pm

    • Pops 15th home run
Greene went 2-for-4 with a walk and a three-run home run in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Greene hit his 15th home run of the season in the second inning, a three-run shot that pushed him to 40 RBI this year. The 23-year-old outfielder has gone deep five times this month in 20 games, and a monster finish to the campaign could be in order if he keeps this up. Greene has already set a new career high with the 15 homers, and he needs three more RBI to set a new career best in that category. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:08 pm

    • Sitting vs. lefty Sunday
Yoshida is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Reds.

Advice: With Cincinnati sending southpaw Nick Lodolo to the mound Sunday, the lefty-hitting Yoshida will begin the game in the dugout. He went 0-for-8 over the first two games of the series, and since returning from a thumb injury June 11, he's gone 4-for-34 with one RBI. Rob Refsnyder will serve as the designated hitter Sunday and bat second. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:11 am

    • Idle versus lefty
Carroll is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Phillies, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Carroll will begin Sunday's game in the dugout with Philadelphia sending southpaw Cristopher Sanchez to the mound. Carroll is slashing .257/.373/.386 with 18 runs and five RBI over 70 at-bats in June. Jake McCarthy will start Sunday's game in center field and bat sixth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:56 am

    • Drives in five Saturday
Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI in Saturday's 12-1 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The 32-year-old slugger was hot from the jump, lofting a sacrifice fly in the first inning before crushing a two-run homer to left field off Scott McGough in the fifth and adding a two-run single in the sixth. Castellanos has shaken off his sluggish start to the campaign, and through 18 games in June he's slashing .270/.304/.554 with four homers, 10 runs and 13 RBI. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:47 am

    • Castellanos belts 11th home run in win Saturday
Nick Castellanos went 2-for-3 with a home run and five RBI against the Diamondbacks on Saturday.

Advice: Castellanos’ home run was his 11th of the season and went so far he started removing his protective elbow pad before he even exited the batter’s box. In all, he had a sacrifice fly, two-run home run and two-run double. Castellanos has struggled this season with a .225 average and .672 OPS, but the Phillies lineup still provides opportunities to drive in runs as he now has 37 RBI on the year. • Stolen base, run in win
Carroll went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 5-4 win over the Phillies. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Carroll walked and stole a base ahead of Gabriel Moreno's home run in the third inning. The stolen base was Carroll's team-leading 14th, which is tied for 20th in MLB. As Carroll's reached base more frequently in the last two weeks, he's picked up his running pace. He's gotten on base at a .443 clip over the last 14 games and has attempted six steals during that stretch. Rotowire.com Saturday, 4:40 am

    • Kerry Carpenter (back) to start baseball activity
Kerry Carpenter (back) told reporters on Friday that he has been cleared to start baseball activities on Monday.

Advice: The 26-year-old slugger will need at least a couple of weeks to ramp back up and will require a minor league rehab assignment before he’s ready to return to the Tigers’ lineup. If all goes well and he’s able to avoid any setbacks, we could see him back in the Olde English D right after the All-Star break. Before landing on the injured list, Carpenter was hitting .283/.342/.572 with eight homers and 29 RBI in his first 50 ballgames. Rotoworld Friday, 2:36 pm
