Brenton Doyle picks up three hits, two steals
Brenton Doyle went 3-for-4 with an RBI, three runs scored and two stolen bases against the Padres on Thursday.
Advice: Doyle scored the go-ahead run in the eighth inning in a game that the Rockies trailed 9-4 coming into the inning. The pair of steals gives the speedy outfielder four on the season, and the three knocks improves his average to .330. Doyle was not a good offensive player in 2023, and it’s more than fair to question whether any of this is sustainable. That being said, a friendly home park and impressive athleticism at least makes Doyle worth monitoring.
