• Jorge Soler (shoulder) continues rehab assignment
Jorge Soler (shoulder) will play another minor league rehab contest on Thursday for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Soler went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday in his rehab assignment debut. The 32-year-old slugger checked out fine after being hit in the head by a deflection during batting practice earlier this week and should be ready to return to San Francisco’s lineup at some point in the near future. He landed on the injured list earlier this month with a right shoulder strain. Rotoworld 45 minutes ago

  • Chas McCormick playing Friday at Triple-A
Chas McCormick (hamstring) will play in another minor league rehab game on Friday for Double-A Corpus Christi.

Advice: There was some hope that McCormick would be ready to return to Houston’s outfield mix on Friday, but he’s going to play in one additional rehab contest before a decision is made. The 29-year-old has gone 2-for-11 in three rehab games so far. He’s been out since early May due to a right hamstring strain. Rotoworld 55 minutes ago

  • Day off Thursday
Pages isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds.

Advice: Pages has struck out six times in his last nine at-bats, so the Dodgers will give him a chance to regroup Thursday. Teoscar Hernandez will shift to right field as a result, allowing Chris Taylor to pick up a start in left while batting seventh. Rotowire.com Today, 3:14 pm

  • Joey Wiemer (knee) starts rehab assignment

  • Takes seat Thursday
McCutchen isn't in the Pirates' lineup Thursday versus the Cubs.

Advice: McCutchen gets to have some rest after going 8-for-20 in the past 5 games. The 37-year-old went 3-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 10-2 loss to Milwaukee. Bryan Reynolds has the start as the designated hitter and Edward Olivares enters the lineup as the right fielder, batting cleanup. Rotowire.com Today, 2:16 pm
  • Out of lineup again Thursday
DeLuca is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game in Boston.

Advice: It marks the third time in four games that DeLuca will be on the bench. This is after he had started the previous nine contests in a row. The recent returns of Josh Lowe and Jonathan Aranda have impacted DeLuca's playing time, and the Rays also could be re-committing to Jose Siri in handing him five starts across the last six tilts.
