      Advice: It doesn’t figure to be an extended stay back in the minors for Scott after he was shipped back to Triple-A Syracuse last week in an effort to manage his workload. The 24-year-old righty, who has established himself as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball this season, authored a dominant performance in his return to the upper minors and it’s going to be hard for New York to justify keeping him out of the big leagues for much longer if he keeps pitching like this.       Bobby Witt Jr. reached twice while stealing two bases in a 4-3 win for the Royals over the Guardians on Thursday.

      Advice: Witt Jr. is now up to 19 thefts on the year. The speedy superstar is playing at an MVP level with a .317/.371/.560 slash, and has picked up hits in each game thus far in June. If 2025 drafts were held now — and they are decidedly not — it’d be hard to argue that he wouldn’t be the first pick in the overwhelming majority of leagues. Scary to think he’s still only 23, too.
