    Advice: Garrett will be pushed off the 40-man roster as Davis Daniel comes up from Triple-A Salt Lake to take Garrett's place in the Angels' bullpen. Since joining the active roster in late April, the 32-year-old southpaw has given up three earned runs while striking out 11 batters through 5.1 innings across six appearances. He's performed well in the minors this year and found a good amount of success last season with the Royals, so it's possible he draws interest from other teams on the waiver wire.     Brenton Doyle clobbered a two-run homer on Wednesday, helping to power the Rockies to victory over the Padres in San Diego.

    Advice: The dynamic 26-year-old outfielder opened the scoring in the contest with a 431-foot (108.5 mph EV) solo shot off of Michael King in the top half of the second inning. He also worked a walk in the third inning and raced around to score on a two-run single by Jacob Stallings.     Jacob Stallings went 2-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs on Wednesday in a lopsided victory over the Padres in San Diego.

    Advice: Stallings smacked a two-run single off of Michael King in the third inning that extended the Rockies’ lead to 5-0. That would be more than enough run support for their pitching staff in this one.     Austin Gomber delivered a dominant performance in Wednesday’s victory over the Padres, allowing just two hits over six scoreless innings.

    Advice: Gomber racked up five strikeouts on the afternoon while issuing a pair of walks. Both of the hits that he allowed in the contest were singles and the Padres never really threatened against him. The 30-year-old hurler got seven swings and misses on 92 pitches on the day — three of those on his heater — while posting a CSW of 27 percent. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling as he carries a 3.02 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 35/17 K/BB ratio (50 2/3 innings) into Wednesday’s matchup against the Athletics in Oakland.     Michael King was hit hard in Wednesday afternoon’s loss to the Rockies, surrendering six runs on eight hits across his 5 1/3 innings of work.

    Advice: On the plus side for fantasy managers, King racked up seven strikeouts on the afternoon while issuing just two free passes. The Rockies scored three times in the second inning — including a solo blast by Brenton Doyle — then tacked on two more in the third. King settled in nicely afterwards though and kept them at bay until the sixth, where he exited after allowing single that eventually came around to score. King got 14 swings and misses on 89 pitches on the afternoon while registering a CSW of 33 percent. With extreme inconsistency on the season, he now sports a 4.31 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and a 60/26 K/BB ratio over 54 innings through his first 10 appearances (nine starts).
