    • Two hits, swipes bag Sunday
Julien went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 5-1 win over the Blue Jays.

Advice: Julien led the game off with a single and added another base knock in the top of the eighth, stealing second base and scoring on an RBI double by Max Kepler in the frame. The stolen base was his fifth of the season and third over the last four games. Julien is now batting .224 with seven home runs, 15 RBI, 21 runs scored and five stolen bases over 125 at-bats in 40 games this year. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:23 pm

    • Homers in victory
Tucker went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and two walks in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Tucker took Tigers starter Jack Flaherty deep for a two-run homer in the top of the sixth inning, giving Houston a 2-0 lead. The outfielder has now gone deep 13 times this season and five times in his last six contests. Over those six games, he's gone 5-for-20 with five home runs, seven RBI, six runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:16 pm

    • TJ Friedl diagnosed with left thumb contusion
The Reds announced that TJ Friedl was diagnosed with a left thumb contusion after being hit by a pitch during Sunday’s game against the Giants.

Advice: Fortunately, X-rays came back negative on Friedl’s thumb after he was pulled from Sunday’s game. That wasn’t before he swiped a base and scored a run in the top half of the first inning though. He may wind up missing a game or two due to pain and swelling, but it sounds like Friedl should be able to avoid a return trip to the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:51 pm

    • Dealing with thumb injury
Friedl suffered a right thumb contusion in Sunday's matchup with the Giants, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Friedl was hit by a pitch in the top of the first inning and exited the contest after not feeling well in the batting cages. The outfielder appears to have avoided any fractures in his thumb, so he can be considered day-to-day for the time being. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:47 pm

    • Jazz Chisholm picks up two hits in win over Phillies
Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, and an RBI in a win over the Phillies.

Advice: Jazz laced a 102 mph double off of Zack Wheeler in the third inning that got a three-run inning started and later tripled off Wheeler in the fourth inning to drive in a run. The Marlins’ leadoff hitter had hits in every game but one this week, going 8-for-23 with a home run, a steal, and two RBI. He also only scored three runs all week despite those stats, so the Marlins’ inconsistent offense is going to impact his fantasy value a bit going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:15 pm

    • TJ Friedl leaves game with thumb injury Sunday
TJ Friedl was removed from Sunday’s contest against the Giants after being hit by a pitch on his thumb.

Advice: Friedl remained in the game initially — even swiping second base and coming around to score a run — but he tested out his thumb in the cages to see if he would be able to swing a bat and he couldn’t do it. Presumably he’s heading for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. Stay tuned. It would be a big blow for the Reds to lose the dynamic 28-year-old outfielder again after just getting him back this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:05 pm

    • Gleyber Torres homers in win over Rays
Gleyber Torres went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer in a win over the Rays on Sunday.

Advice: Torres’ big fly was a 395-foot shot that left the bat at 103 mph for his second home run of the season. It’s been a rough season for Torres and was a rough week overall, going just 2-for-19 combined against the Astros and Rays. Perhaps the 27-year-old is trying to do too much in his contract season, but he’s been making more contact recently so it’s best to hold onto him in fantasy leagues because he’s too talented a hitter to keep performing at this level all season. • Leaves game after HBP
Friedl left Sunday's game against the Giants after being hit by a pitch on the left thumb area in the top of the first inning, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Friedl spent a fair amount of time with Cincinnati's trainer, and while he stayed in the game initially, he didn't feel good in the cages between innings, per the Reds' television broadcast. The 28-year-old had just returned from a right wrist injury suffered on a diving attempt during spring training, so it's not the same hand, but regardless he will likely need X-rays. • Pitches well in loss
Miller (3-3) was stuck with the loss against Oakland on Saturday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out nine.

Advice: All of the damage against Miller came in the top of the third, when the 25-year-old issued a leadoff walk to Lawrence Butler to open the frame, followed by back-to-back singles. The right-hander allowed only two hits outside of that inning and retired 10 of the final 12 batters he faced, but he still got stuck with his third loss of the season due to a lack of run support. Miller has allowed two runs or fewer in six of his eight starts this season and recorded his second-highest strikeout total of the campaign Saturday with nine punchouts.
