      The Dodgers reinstated Phillips (hamstring) from the 15-day injured list Friday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Phillips was forced onto the injured list May 5 after suffering a right hamstring strain. He's since thrown 1.2 innings of shutout ball while striking out three batters and walking none during a rehab assignment with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga. The 29-year-old right-hander should immediately reclaim his spot as the Dodgers' closer, a role he thrived in prior to getting injured.       Dodgers activated RHP Evan Phillips from the 15-day injured list.

      Advice: The 29-year-old closer finally returns to the Dodgers’ bullpen after landing on the injured list with a hamstring strain. While Daniel Hudson and Blake Treinen did a nice job in his absence, expect Phillips to jump right into the team’s ninth-inning role.     • Earns seventh win
      Rodon (7-2) picked up the win over the Angels on Thursday, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk over six-plus innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Rodon ran through the Angels' lineup for most of the night, surrendering one run over the first six frames while producing five 1-2-3 innings. However, the veteran lefty would run into trouble in the seventh after allowing the first three batters to reach, paving the way for Ian Hamilton to take over in relief.       Finnegan picked up the save in a win over Atlanta on Thursday, pitching a scoreless ninth inning while striking out one and issuing a walk.

      Advice: Finnegan entered the game with a two-run lead in the ninth and issued a leadoff walk to Ozzie Albies to put himself in an early jam. However, the right-handed reliever was able to retire the next three batters in succession to notch his 15th save of the season. Finnegan now has three scoreless appearances since blowing the save against the Phillies on May 18, posting a 5:1 K:BB over that stretch.       Carlos Rodón gave up three runs over six innings to pick up a win Thursday over the Angels.

      Advice: Rodón allowed just one run over the first six innings, but a pair of runs were charged to him in the seventh to turn an excellent start into a solid if unspectacular effort. The southpaw struck out five and walked one, and he’s still the owner of a 3.09 effort for his troubles in 2024. Rodón will get another chance to pitch Wednesday against the Twins.     • Finnegan picks up save against Atlanta on Thursday
      Kyle Finnegan fired a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save Thursday versus Atlanta.

      Advice: That’s already the 15th save for Finnegan, who is currently on-pace to procure over 40 of them in 2024. Impressive regardless, but especially when you see the Nationals have only won 26 games. The 32-year-old right-hander also has a 1.64 ERA, so it’s fair to say he’s pitched well in those chances.     • Stung by rough second inning
      Crawford (2-4) took the loss against Baltimore on Wednesday, allowing five runs on four hits and two walks while striking out five batters over six innings.

      Advice: Crawford was excellent outside of the second inning -- he gave up five runs on three hits, a walk and a hit batter in that frame, with the big blow being a grand slam by Gunnar Henderson. The right-hander did hold the Orioles scoreless on one hit the rest of the way, but the damage was too much to overcome against Baltimore starter Corbin Burnes. Crawford has surrendered 11 runs over 10.1 innings across his past two starts, pushing his season ERA to 3.29. It sat at 2.17 prior to the two-game downturn. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:29 pm
       
    • Kutter Crawford struggles again in loss to O’s
      Kutter Crawford struggled again in Wednesday’s loss to the Orioles, giving up five runs on four hits over six innings of work.

      Advice: The right-hander punched out five batters on the night while issuing a pair of walks. All of the scoring against him came in the second inning, as Ramon Urias smacked an RBI single and then Gunnar Henderson changed the game with a 422-foot grand slam. Crawford rebounded nicely to finish the day with four scoreless frames, but the damage had already been done. The 28-year-old hurler got 10 swings and misses on 96 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 22 percent. He’ll look to bounce back as he carries a 3.29 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 66/22 K/BB ratio (68 1/3 innings) into Tuesday’s matchup against the Braves. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:06 pm

      Sanchez (3-3) earned the win Wednesday, holding the Giants to four hits and one walk over six scoreless innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: It was another impressive effort from Sanchez, who's now held opponents to two runs or fewer in eight of his 11 starts this season. The 27-year-old left-hander lowered his ERA to 2.83 with a 1.39 WHIP and 56:20 K:BB across 60.1 innings.
