• Expected to return Wednesday
The Red Sox are expected to reinstate Gonzalez (wrist) from the 10-day injured list Wednesday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Gonzalez has been on the injured list since April 13 due to a left wrist sprain, and he's gone 4-for-11 with three RBI since beginning a rehab assignment at Triple-A Worcester on Friday. Once activated, the 27-year-old infielder will presumably move into a reserve role behind Vaughn Grissom and Ceddanne Rafaela. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

  • Four hits, two homers vs. Cleveland
Ibanez went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double, four total RBI and four total runs scored in Tuesday's 11-7 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Ibanez led off the game with a solo homer off Logan Allen before breaking a 2-2 tie with a three-run shot in the second inning. It's the second multi-homer game of Ibanez's career, though he hadn't logged an extra-base hit through his first 13 games this season. The 31-year-old utility man is now slashing .364/.361/.576 in 36 plate appearances with seven RBI and seven runs scored. Ibanez could take on a platoon role at second base as Colt Keith's struggled to start the campaign. Rotowire.com Today, 6:51 pm

  • Stott has two hits, steal in win
Bryson Stott went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in a win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott picked up two single to up his triple slash to .245/.339/.377 on the year and also swiped his eighth stolen base. Stott has moved around between second base and shortstop since Trea Turner went down with a hamstring injury, and it’s hard to imagine Stott getting many days off over the next six weeks while Turner is out. The power hasn’t been there this year, but the steals are valuable and Stott should get the opportunity to pick up important counting stats while hitting in a good lineup. • Isaac Paredes posts three hits, homers in win
Isaac Paredes went 3-for-4 with a solo homer on Tuesday, leading the Rays to a 5-1 victory over the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes ripped an absolute moonshot to left field in the sixth inning off Chicago reliever Brad Keller for his eighth round-tripper of the season. It was the first time he’s gone deep since April 28. The 25-year-old pull-happy slugger has been a four-category fantasy monster this season with a .299 batting average through 34 contests. • Ibáñez on base five times in Tigers victory Tuesday
Andy Ibáñez erupted for four hits, two home runs and four RBI in win over the Guardians on Tuesday.

Advice: Ibanez was on base five times as he went 4-for-4 with two home runs, a double and a walk. He’s a part-time player who sees most of his at-bats against left-handed pitching, but that could change with the rest of the Tigers offense floundering. Ibanez is now 8-for-18 since returning from the injured list on April 30th. In 35 at-bats this year, he’s hitting .364. Rotoworld Today, 5:59 pm

  • Marlins transfer Xavier Edwards to 60-day IL
Marlins transferred INF Xavier Edwards to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: The procedural move opens up a spot on Miami’s 40-man roster. Edwards has been out since spring training due to an infection in his left foot. He’s resumed baseball activities, but remains without a timetable to return. Rotoworld Today, 4:25 pm

  • Moves to 60-day IL
The Marlins transferred Edwards (foot) to the 60-day injured list Tuesday, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Edwards' move to the 60-day IL will make him ineligible to return until May 27, though it remains unclear whether or not he'll be able to play by then. The 24-year-old has been slowly working his way back from a bacterial infection in his left foot that has kept him on the shelf since the beginning of the season. Rotowire.com Today, 4:18 pm

  • Homer, five RBI in win
Semien went 4-for-5 with a home run, a double, five total RBI and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 15-8 victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien led off the game with a solo blast off Ross Stripling before driving in three more runs with a pair of hits in the Rangers' 10-run second inning. Semien would add a fifth RBI with his fourth hit in the fourth. The 33-year-old second-baseman had gone nine games without a homer prior to Wednesday's contest, going 8-for-40 with just two RBI in that span. He's now slashing .266/.314/.449 through 37 games this season with six homers, 27 RBI, 27 runs scored and a stolen base. Rotowire.com Today, 3:56 pm

  • Marcus Semien powers Rangers to 15-8 rout of A’s
Marcus Semien went 4-for-5 with a leadoff homer and five RBI on Tuesday, powering the Rangers to a 15-8 blowout victory over the Athletics.

Advice: Semien set the tone with a leadoff blast -- his sixth round-tripper of the season -- off Athletics starter Ross Stripling before adding a pair of run-scoring hits as part of Texas’ 10-run explosion in the ensuing frame. The 33-year-old ironman has shown zero signs of slowing down as he approaches his mid-30’s, batting .266 (42-for-158) with 27 runs scored, six homers, 27 RBI and one stolen base through 37 contests.
