Emmanuel Clase tossed a scoreless inning and picked up the save against the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Clase’s save was his 23rd of the season. His ERA is down to a sparkling 0.74 after he retired the Blue Jays in order. Clase is building a case to be the best closer in baseball this season. Rotoworld Today, 4:05 pm
    • Lively allows two runs, gets seventh win Saturday
Ben Lively allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 6-3 victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Lively gave up three hits, walked two and struck out four. He’s now won five of his last seven starts and has seven wins overall on the season. His ERA is 3.03. Not bad for a waiver wire pickup. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next weekend.

The Rays scored on an RBI groundout by Josh Lowe in the first inning and an RBI single by Ben Rortvedt in the fourth inning. The win was his fifth of the season. • Jared Jones fires seven strong in win over Rays
Jared Jones struck out eight while allowing two runs in seven innings Saturday to get a win over the Rays.

Advice: Jones gave up just three hits, and while he did issue three walks, the strikeouts were able to get him out of the majority of jams. The only blemishes were a fielder’s choice that scored a run in the first and an RBI single by Ben Rortvedt in the fourth. The rookie right-hander continues to impress, and his ERA is now a solid 3.66. Jones gets Atlanta next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 3:15 pm

    • Collects 22nd save
Clase tossed a perfect ninth inning Thursday, striking out one to earn the save against Seattle.

Advice: Clase had allowed earned runs in consecutive appearances June 9 and 11 but has regained his form since, tossing his third consecutive clean outing Thursday to close out the game for the Guardians. Clase ranks first in the American League with 22 saves, ranking behind only Ryan Helsley of the Cardinals, as the latter has 24 to lead the major leagues. Through 35.1 innings this season, Clase has allowed only three earned runs for an ERA of 0.76 with a 0.62 WHIP and 36 strikeouts. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:16 pm
    • Emmanuel Clase gets 22nd save against Mariners
Emmanuel Clase hurled a scoreless ninth to pick up a save against the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: It’s already the 22nd save of the season for Clase, and the hunt for a 50-save season is certainly on. The right-hander didn’t allow a hit and procured a strikeout, and the scoreless frame puts his ERA at a dazzling 0.76. A spectacular season for Clase, and there’s every reason to believe he can keep it going through the second half of the campaign. Rotoworld Thursday, 12:39 pm
    • Posts another quality start
Ryan allowed one run on six hits and one walk while striking out five batters over six innings in a no-decision against Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Advice: Ryan gave up a third-inning solo homer to Isaac Paredes but otherwise kept the Rays off the scoreboard. The right-handed hurler racked up an impressive 19 swinging strikes, though he finished with a modest five punchouts. Ryan recorded his third straight quality start and his 11th of the season, which is tied for fifth in the majors. He's complemented that total with a 3.13 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 95:15 K:BB over 92 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 10:04 pm

Advice: Kimbrel was called upon to protect a 5-4 lead in the ninth inning but allowed a leadoff double by Anthony Volpe and a game-tying single by Giancarlo Stanton. He was able to keep the game tied and the Yankees won in the 10th inning to earn Kimbrel the win. Until Wednesday, Kimbrel had not allowed an earned run since May 8 or blown a save since April 28. On the season Kimbrel is now 16-for-20 in save chances and owns a 2.63 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 39:11 K:BB over 27.1 innings. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 9:10 pm
