Fry went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Fry has a pair of three-hits games over his last nine contests, going 13-for-26 (.500) with four homers, three steals and 11 RBI in that span. The utility man is on another level lately, though he's been strong throughout the campaign with a .357/.492/.622 slash line, seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and four steals over 128 plate appearances. He's started three straight games in left field, but that avenue into the lineup will close when Steven Kwan (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Fry could compete for playing time with Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter or Bo Naylor at catcher given both of those players' struggles at the plate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm

    • David Fry goes 3-for-3, hits three-run homer
David Fry went 3-for-3 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Fry wasn’t expected to make the Guardians out of spring training and then wasn’t slated to play against righties once he did make the team, but all he’s done so far is hit .357/.492/.622 with seven homers and four steals in 128 plate appearances. The exit velocity numbers don’t back up anything close to this level of performance, but he’ll probably remain pretty solid and he has catcher eligibility. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm

    • Bellinger has two-hit game Monday
Cody Bellinger went 2-for-4 against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: It was a quiet day for the Cubs offense as they could only muster one run. Bellinger, however, has been hot at the plate since a slow start early this season. He’s 31-for-104 (.298) since April 13th.

    • Sitting against another righty
Santana is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Royals.

Advice: Santana will hit the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Alec Marsh) for the third time in five games. The downturn in opportunities comes while Santana has fallen into a 5-for-33 skid at the plate (.152 average) over his last 10 starts, bringing his slash line down to .201/.282/.361 over 188 plate appearances on the season. The Minnesota infield will become more crowded when Royce Lewis (quadricep) returns from the 10-day injured list, potentially as soon as later this week, so Santana could be on the way out of the everyday lineup, if he hasn't lost his spot already. • Goes yard in Friday's win
Fry went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Friday's 10-4 win over the Angels.

Advice: Fry has homered five times over his last 13 games, going 14-for-33 (.424) with a 10:6 BB:K in that span. The 28-year-old got a start at catcher versus southpaw Patrick Sandoval in this contest, though manager Stephen Vogt has found room for him in various spots including first base, third base, left field and designated hitter this season. Fry is slashing a stellar .360/.500/.628 with six homers, 19 RBI, 22 runs scored and three stolen bases over 114 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:39 pm

    • David Fry stays hot with homer, two hits vs. LAA
David Fry homered while going 2-for-3 in a blowout win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Just like we all expected, Fry has been one of the best hitters in the American League this season. You can’t prove we didn’t expect it, anyway. Fry has gone deep six times in his 35 games, and his slash is a borderline unrealistic .360/.500/.628 over that timeframe. Mainly thanks to catcher-eligibility, Fry has to be rostered right now. • Taking seat Friday
Santana is not in the lineup for Friday's game against Texas.

Advice: Santana will sit for the third time in the month of May. Alex Kirilloff will move to first base and bat sixth in place of Santana. Rotowire.com Friday, 1:16 pm

    • Carlos Santana gets day off versus Nationals
Carlos Santana is on the bench Wednesday for the first time in two weeks.

Advice: After the last time Santana didn’t start, he responded by going 7-for-16 with three homers in his next four games. Since then, though, he’s 4-for-27 with no extra-base hits, no RBI and one walk in seven games, leaving him at .201/.270/.365 for the season. At some point, the Twins are probably going to turn him into more of a platoon player against lefties. Rotoworld Wednesday, 7:41 am

    • Resting Wednesday
Santana is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.

Advice: Santana will take a seat for the series finale in Washington, ending a stretch of 12 consecutive starts during which he's run hot at the plate with a .283/.298/.522 slash line. Alex Kirilloff will fill in for Santana at first base. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 6:57 am
