    Mark Canha crushed a grand slam in the second inning on Saturday night as the Tigers pummeled the Astros at Comerica Park.

    Advice: Riley Greene drew a bases-loaded walk in the second inning to push the first run across, then Canha broke the game wide open with his 393-foot (102.9 mph EV) four-run blast off of Astros’ right-hander Cristian Javier. He also drew a pair of walks in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-3. On the season, the 35-year-old outfielder is now hitting .242/.365/.452 with six long balls, 20 RBI and one stolen base.     Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and an RBI as the Astros fell to the Tigers on Saturday night in Detroit.

    Advice: Diaz delivered a run-scoring single off of Tarik Skubal in the fourth inning that pulled the Astros to within five runs at 7-2. That would be as close as they would get.     Yandy Díaz clubbed a leadoff home run on Saturday, helping to propel the Rays to victory over the Yankees.

    Advice: Díaz jumped on the very first pitch that Nestor Cortes threw on Saturday, crushing a 401-foot (100.4 mph EV) solo shot over the wall in left-center. He also smacked an RBI double in the seventh inning and scored on a double off the bat of Randy Arozarena. Díaz finished the day 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored.     Joey Meneses hit a solo homer Saturday in a loss to the Red Sox.

    Advice: It took 34 games, but Meneses finally has his first homer of the season with a solo shot off Cooper Criswell. The 32-year-old first baseman has been unusable from a fantasy perspective with a slash of just .220/.289/.273, but maybe the roundtripper gets a hitter who has been effective in the past going.     Carlos Santana drove in three runs and hit a two-run homer Saturday in a loss to the Blue Jays.

    Advice: Santana blasted a three-run homer off a wholly ineffective Kevin Gausman to extend Minnesota’s lead to 7-1. The Twins would end up losing the game 10-8. Santana has six homers on the year and still shows a quality approach at the plate, but there just isn’t enough offensive oomph to suggest him as a fantasy addition. Rotoworld Today, 3:20 pm
     
  • Vladdy Jr. has four hits, three RBI, SB vs. Twins
    Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 4-for-5, drove in three runs and stole a base in a 10-8 win for the Blue Jays on Saturday over the Twins.

    Advice: Vladdy Jr. did it all Saturday in the come-from-behind win. The first baseman has swung the bat much more effectively as of late, and his OPS to .751 after hovering around .700 for much of the season.     Jake Cronenworth is not in the Padres’ starting lineup for Saturday night’s tilt against the Dodgers.

    Advice: A night after Cronenworth saw his 12-game hitting streak snapped, he’ll get a breather with left-hander James Paxton toeing the slab for the Dodgers.
