    • Sitting out Wednesday
Marte isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Cleveland, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Advice: Marte slugged a home run in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to Cleveland, but he'll get a breather for the Wednesday afternoon tilt. DJ Stewart will fill in in right field for Marte. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:10 am
    • Not in Tuesday's lineup
Stanton is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mariners, Pete Caldera of The Bergen Record reports.

Advice: Stanton started the previous four games and will sit Tuesday after he went 5-for-15 with two doubles and two homers during that span. Aaron Judge will rest his legs as the designated hitter while Trent Grisham starts in center field. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:54 pm
    • Giancarlo Stanton sitting Tuesday against Mariners
Giancarlo Stanton is not in the starting lineup Tuesday against the Mariners.

Advice: Stanton will get a night off against the Mariners with Bryan Woo on the bump for Seattle. Aaron Judge will be the designated hitter with Trent Grisham getting a start in center field. Rotoworld Tuesday, 12:12 pm
    • Nabs 15th steal
Young went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's win over the Twins.

Advice: The 24-year-old center fielder's ability to flip the lineup over from the bottom of the order was a key part of the Nationals' 12-run eruption Monday. Young has hit safely in five straight games and is up to 15 steals in 17 attempts on the season, but his overall numbers have sagged in May -- he's slashing .208/.304/.271 through 56 plate appearances. • Lane Thomas starting rehab assignment in Double-A
Lane Thomas (knee) is beginning a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Harrisburg.

Advice: Thomas has been on the injured list since near the end of April due to a sprained left MCL. The outfielder will likely need a week or so of rehab appearances, but then could return to the Washington lineup near the end of May. Thomas got off to a slow start prior to the injury, but was a solid fantasy option in 2023. Rotoworld Tuesday, 5:43 am

    • Jacob Young plates two, steals base in victory
Jacob Young went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and also stole a base on Monday in the Nationals’ lopsided win over the Twins.

Advice: Young has come out of nowhere to make an impact for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues with an astounding 15 stolen bases in just 129 plate appearances over 37 contests. The 24-year-old speedster doesn’t offer any over-the-fence pop, but the steals are enough to give him some relevance moving forward. Rotoworld Monday, 6:46 pm

    • Ejected from series opener
Marte was ejected from Monday's game against the Guardians after arguing a called third strike, SportsNet New York reports.

Advice: Marte didn't agree with a called strike three to end the top half of the fourth inning, and he was ejected while walking out to his position in the bottom half of the frame. Tyrone Taylor replaced Marte in right field. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:38 pm
    • Starling Marte tossed for arguing third strike
Starling Marte was ejected from Monday’s game in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Marte couldn’t let it go after being (correctly) called out to end the top of the fourth and was tossed as he was beginning to walk out to right field for the bottom of the inning. Tyrone Taylor replaced him versus the Guardians. Rotoworld Monday, 4:08 pm
    • Could be activated Friday
Thomas (knee) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Harrisburg on Tuesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Thomas is set to play Tuesday and Wednesday before being reevaluated. Assuming all goes well, it would set him up to be activated ahead of the Nationals' weekend series against the Mariners. Thomas has missed nearly a month of action with a Grade 2 MCL sprain of his left knee. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:18 pm
