    • Resting Saturday
Soler isn't in the Giants' lineup Saturday versus the Mets.

Advice: After going 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Friday's victory, Soler will now get his first day off since returning from the injured list May 17. His absence will move Patrick Bailey into the DH spot, allowing Curt Casali to pick up a start behind the plate while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:40 am

    • Placed on IL with oblique strain
The Rays placed Lowe on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right oblique strain.

Advice: Lowe left Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to right side tightness, and an MRI on Thursday revealed an oblique strain for the 26-year-old. Lowe began the year on the IL due to a Grade 1 right oblique strain, and he didn't make his season debut until May 6. The severity of the new oblique strain isn't known, but given that it's on the right side again, Lowe could be on the shelf beyond the 10-day minimum. For his part, Lowe said Saturday that he's hopeful for an abbreviated stay on the shelf, and he expects to resume baseball activities Monday, per Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times. For whatever length of time Lowe misses, Jonny DeLuca, Jose Siri and Richie Palacios should benefit from more playing time in the outfield. Rotowire.com Saturday, 9:17 am

    • Josh Lowe lands on IL with oblique strain
Rays placed OF Josh Lowe on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to May 23, with a right oblique strain.

Advice: Ugh. There was some optimism that Lowe wouldn’t be facing a lengthy absence after he wasn’t put on the injured list ahead of Friday’s series opener. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart told reporters Saturday that he hopes to only have a minimum stay on the injured list, which is extremely encouraging. He’s been limited to just 14 games this season due to persistent injuries. It sounds like there’s a strong possibility he’ll return in early June. Rotoworld Saturday, 9:07 am

    • Goes deep again Friday
Bleday went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a double and three total runs scored in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Bleday has found his swing with a homer in three straight games and a seven-game hitting streak. During that latter stretch, he's gone 9-for-33 (.273) with eight extra-base hits. The outfielder is slashing .247/.317/.478 with eight homers, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored, 15 doubles, two triples and no stolen bases over 206 plate appearances this season. Bleday's held a starting role all season, and that's not going to change while he's swinging a hot bat. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:20 pm

    • JJ Bleday stays hot with homer, but Athletics lose
JJ Bleday homered and scored three runs in a loss Friday to the Athletics.

Advice: Bleday has now homered in three straight games, and this one was a solo shot off Justin Verlander to give him eight on the season. The 26-year-old has shown some flashes in 2024 of why he was the fourth pick of the 2019 MLB Draft, but his lack of success prior to this season — and really this month — is reason to give pause in terms of making him a fantasy addition. • Not in Friday's lineup
Lowe (side) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Royals.

Advice: The 26-year-old departed Wednesday's contest with a right side strain and was sent for an MRI on Thursday, the results of which remain unknown. Lowe will sit for at least one game and should be considered day-to-day until more information is available. Rotowire.com Friday, 12:19 pm

    • Josh Lowe (side) absent from Friday’s lineup
Josh Lowe (side) is out of the Rays’ lineup for Friday’s game against the Royals.

Advice: Lowe left Wednesday’s game against the Red Sox with right side tightness and was subsequently sent for an MRI. The Rays probably wouldn’t have submitted their lineup already if Lowe was being placed on the injured list today. For now, no update on Lowe’s status is potentially a good update. • Game-tying homer Thursday
Bleday went 1-for-6 with a two-run home run in an extra-innings win over the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Bleday stepped to the plate in the 11th with the Athletics having already cut a four-run deficit in half, and he delivered with a 409-foot shot to center to knot the score at 9-9. It was the second consecutive game in which Bleday left the yard, and the clutch homer also extended the outfielder's hitting streak to six games. Bleday has impressively laced 23 of his 44 hits for extra bases this season, and all three components of his .243/.315/.459 slash line are career bests. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:29 am

    • Bleday homers again Thursday
JJ Bleday went 1-for-6 with a two-run home run against the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Bleday clutched up with a game-tying home run in bottom of the 11th inning. It was his second game in a row with a home run. While Bleday is hitting just .243, he’s got seven home runs and 21 RBI this season. Rotoworld Thursday, 4:15 pm
