    • Locks down save Sunday
Scott picked up the save Sunday in a 3-1 win over the Diamondbacks, throwing a perfect ninth while striking out a batter.

Advice: Scott faced no trouble from the Diamondback hitters Sunday. He sent them down in order on 15 pitches and struck out Eugenio Suarez to end the game. Scott has not allowed an earned run since April 14 and finished May with three wins, three saves and a hold in nine appearances. He's up to seven saves on the year now and carries a 1.64 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 23:18 K:BB in 22 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 6:00 am

    • Alexis Díaz fans two to earn 10th save
Alexis Díaz struck out both batters he faced for a save Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: The Reds were up 4-0 to start the ninth, so Díaz didn’t enter then. Instead, he came in after Carson Spiers allowed Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman to reach with one out, creating the save opportunity. Díaz then retired Teoscar Hernández and Andy Pages to end the game. It was the 10th save in 12 opportunities for Díaz, who came into the day having allowed eight earned runs in 7 2/3 innings this month. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:29 pm
    • Scoreless streak ends in loss
Crochet (5-5) allowed two runs on three hits and a walk while striking out 11 over six innings to take the loss Sunday versus the Orioles.

Advice: Crochet was able to extend his scoreless streak to 24 innings, which began with his last two frames versus the Cardinals on May 5. It came to a close when Adley Rutschman took him deep in the sixth inning of Sunday's contest, and that was enough to snap Crochet's four-start winning streak as well. On the bright side, he earned a fifth straight quality start and reached double-digit strikeouts for the third time this year. Crochet is at a 3.68 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 85:14 K:BB through 63.2 innings over 12 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Brewers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:12 pm

    • Grabs 10th save
Diaz struck out both batters he faced to pick up his 10th save of the season Sunday against the Dodgers.

Advice: Diaz closed the door on the Dodgers for the second consecutive game, though he ran both counts full and needed 16 pitches to record the final two outs. It was the fourth consecutive scoreless outing for Diaz, who appears to be turning things around after allowing 17 baserunners and 10 runs (nine earned) while blowing a save and earning two losses over his previous seven appearances spanning 5.2 innings between April 29 and May 19. • Tanner Scott slams door on Diamondbacks in ninth
Tanner Scott slammed the door on the Diamondbacks in the ninth inning on Sunday, working a scoreless frame to protect a two-run lead and earn his seventh save of the season.

Advice: Scott made it look awfully easy in this one, getting Randal Grichuk on a pop up to third base, Gabriel Moreno on a ground ball to shortstop and Eugenio Suarez on strikes to end it. The 29-year-old southpaw needed just 15 pitches (10 strikes) to get the job done. He now boasts a 1.64 ERA to go along with his seven saves on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:51 pm

    • Garrett Crochet takes tough luck loss on Sunday
Garrett Crochet allowed two runs on three hits over six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

Advice: Crochet struck out 11 and walked just one, but the two-run homer he allowed to Adley Rutschman in the sixth inning proved to be the difference in the game. The left-hander tied the Orioles up all day, getting 18 whiffs for a 38 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW. He now has a 3.68 ERA on the season with 85 strikeouts in 63 2/3 innings. Anybody who dropped him after his poor three-start stretch against the Twins, Phillies, and Reds in mid-April is probably kicking themselves now as Crochet has allowed just five total earned runs in six starts since then. You can feel free to start him in any matchup, including against the Brewers next week. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:45 pm

    • Earns ninth save
Diaz threw a perfect ninth inning against the Dodgers on Saturday to secure his ninth save of the season.

Advice: Diaz sat down Freddie Freeman, Will Smith and Teoscar Hernandez on a total of seven pitches to nail down the win for starter Hunter Greene. While Diaz still has an ugly 5.95 ERA this season, his job as the Reds' closer is not in jeopardy. He's squandered just one save in his last 10 chances, and with only two hits and two walks allowed in his last four appearances, Diaz seems to have turned the page after a rough stretch in mid-May. • Alexis Díaz slams door on Dodgers on Saturday
Alexis Díaz slammed the door on the Dodgers on Saturday night, protecting a two-run lead to earn his ninth save of the season.

Advice: The 27-year-old right-hander looked like the dominant force of yesteryear in this one, getting Freddie Freeman on a fly ball to left, Will Smith on a fly ball to right and Teoscar Hernandez on a ground ball to second base — needing just seven pitches (all strikes) to retire the side in order. He has now delivered three straight scoreless outings and successfully converted each of his last two save chances. He now holds a 5.95 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and a 20/14 K/BB ratio over 18 2/3 innings on the season. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm
    • Records 11th save
Bednar allowed two hits but hung on for a scoreless inning and a save in Saturday's 4-1 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Tasked with protecting a three-run lead, Bednar retired the first two batters of the ninth inning before back-to-back hits put the tying run in Ronald Acuna at the plate. The closer then got Acuna to ground into a fielder's choice to thwart the threat. After blowing three save chances in seven tries to start the season, Bednar has successfully converted each of his last seven opportunities. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:12 pm
