      Advice: Mike Siani was responsible for plating four of the runs on Kremer's line with an RBI single and a three-run home run. This was a second straight sub-par start for Kremer, who has allowed 11 runs (eight earned) over his last 9.2 innings. The right-hander is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 49:18 K:BB through 50 innings over nine starts this season. The Orioles have a busy schedule through the end of June, so Kremer is unlikely to lose his place in the rotation in the near future, but he'll need to be sharper than he has been lately to maintain his spot in the second half of the season.       Dean Kremer allowed five runs in four innings and took the loss against the Cardinals on Monday.



      Advice: Kremer gave up an RBI single to Michael Siani, an RBI double to Masyn Winn and a three-run home run to Michael Siani. He allowed six hits total, walked three and struck out only two. His ERA is now 4.32 on the season and the loss was his fourth of the year. Kremer has 49 strikeouts in 50 innings on the season and a 1.12 WHIP, but you have to wonder if the Orioles might look for an upgrade in their rotation eventually. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the White Sox on the road on Saturday.

    • José Berríos goes six in defeating White Sox
      José Berríos defeated the White Sox by allowing three runs in six innings on Monday.

      Advice: Three things worked in favor of Berríos on a day in which he was lacking his best stuff: he was facing the White Sox, he had CB Bucknor working his own special brand of magic behind the plate and he was facing the White Sox.       Berrios (5-3) earned the win Monday against the White Sox, allowing three runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: With the 100-pitch effort, Berrios collected his first win since April 20 and second consecutive quality start. The Blue Jays right-hander has posted an impressive eight quality starts in 10 total games started. Berrios owns a 2.98 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 48:18 K:BB in 60.1 innings this season.     • Surrenders five runs in loss
      Ober (4-2) took the loss against Cleveland on Saturday, allowing five runs on eight hits and one walk while striking out four batters over four innings.

      Advice: A first-inning, two-run home run by Jose Ramirez set the tone for Cleveland's offense, which ended up scoring in all but one of the four frames during which Ober toed the rubber. The right-handed hurler needed 91 pitches to get 12 outs and finished with his shortest outing since his disastrous eight-run, 1.1-inning loss in his first start of the campaign.       Sanchez allowed two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Washington on Saturday.

      Advice: Sanchez fell behind when he gave up a first-inning run, but he allowed only one more score the rest of the way. The left-hander fanned eight batters -- his highest mark over his past five outings -- and finished with his fourth quality start of the campaign.       Christopher Sanchez allowed two earned runs and struck out eight and got a no-decision in the Phillies’ 4-3 victory over the Nationals on Saturday.



      Advice: It was Sanchez’ third start with at least eight strikeouts in nine tries this season. He lowered his ERA to 3.31 on the season, but still only has two wins. The 27-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Rockies at Coors Field next weekend.

      Bailey Ober allowed eight hits, five runs and a walk in four innings and took the loss against the Guardians on Saturday.



      Advice: This was Ober’s worst start since he blew up against the Royals in his first start of the season. He had allowed two earned runs or less in six of his previous seven starts. Ober’s ERA is now 4.40 on the season. The 28-year-old right-hander is scheduled to face the Rangers at home next weekend.

      Kikuchi didn't factor into the decision Wednesday against Baltimore, allowing one run on six hits and a walk in 4.1 innings. He struck out nine.

      Advice: Kikuchi needed 88 pitches to record 11 outs, though he limited Baltimore to one run on Jordan Westburg's lead-off homer in the first while recording nine strikeouts for the third time this season. Kikuchi had gone at least six innings in his previous six starts -- he's 2-3 on the year with a 2.60 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 55:10 K:BB across 52 innings.
