    • Luis Arraez (shoulder) hopeful to play Monday
      Luis Arraez (shoulder) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he was fine and would be in the Padres’ lineup on Monday.

      Advice: The 27-year-old wizard with the bat suffered a shoulder injury while sliding into second base in the fifth inning on Sunday. It looks like it’s only a minor issue though and not something that is going to keep Arraez out of action.     • Yoshida (thumb) could start rehab assignment soon
      Masataka Yoshida (thumb) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment near the end of this week.

      Advice: Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Sunday that Yoshida has seen considerable improvement and will “hopefully” be ready to begin a minor league rehab assignment before the end of the week. The 30-year-old has been sidelined since the beginning of May due to a strained left thumb.     • Possible rehab assignment this week
      Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Sunday that he's hopeful Yoshida (thumb) could begin a minor-league rehab assignment later this week, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

      Advice: Cora's comments came one day after Yoshida took live batting practice on the field and reported no issues with his strained left thumb, which has kept him out of action since April 28. Though the skipper didn't offer up a firm timeline for when Yoshida might be activated from the 10-day injured list, the 30-year-old may only need a handful of games in the minors this weekend before he's deemed ready to rejoin the Red Sox.     • Blake Snell (groin) expected to land on 15-day IL
      Giants’ manager Bob Melvin told reporters after Sunday’s loss to the Yankees that Blake Snell is expected to land on the 15-day injured list after re-injuring his groin.

      Advice: Melvin noted that Snell will undergo an MRI exam on Monday to determine the extent of the damage, but it sounds like he’s going to be shelved for a while. Snell dealt with a similar injury near the end of April and wound up missing a month’s worth of action. The 31-year-old left-hander has been an unmitigated disaster for the Giants and for fantasy managers, going 0-3 with a 9.51 ERA and 1.94 WHIP over 23 2/3 innings in six starts on the season.     • Freddie Freeman homers, swipes bag to lead Dodgers
      Freddie Freeman homered, swiped a base and drove in a pair of runs on Sunday, leading the Dodgers to a 4-0 victory over the Rockies.

      Advice: Freeman was the second member of the Dodgers’ lineup to victimize Austin Gomber in the opening inning, clobbering a 396-foot (104.1 mph EV) solo shot just off of the outstretched glove of Brenton Doyle to increase the Dodgers’ early lead to 2-0. The 34-year-old superstar then led off the third inning with a walk, swiped second base and scored on an RBI knock by Miguel Rojas. Freeman also plated a run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning. For the season, he’s slashing .293/.399/.477 to go along with seven homers, 35 RBI and just two stolen bases.     • Gavin Stone fans six in victory over Rockies
      Gavin Stone was terrific in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Rockies, racking up six strikeouts over five innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander scattered four hits and a pair of walks on the day. He needed just 75 pitches (53 strikes) to navigate his five frames before turning the ball over to one of the best bullpens in all of baseball. Stone got 15 swings and misses in the ballgame — nine on his slider — while registering a CSW of 31 percent. He has been outstanding for the Dodgers this season, posting a 6-2 record, 2.90 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 47/19 K/BB ratio over 62 innings through his first 11 starts.       Giants manager Bob Melvin acknowledged after Sunday's 7-5 loss to the Yankees that Snell is set to undergo an MRI on his left groin and will likely land on the 15-day injured list, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

      Advice: Snell exited in the fifth inning of his start Sunday with left groin tightness, an injury that's especially concerning after he spent time on the IL earlier this season with a Grade 2 left adductor strain. The team will likely wait on the results of Snell's MRI before officially placing him on the IL, but fantasy managers should prepare for the left-hander to miss at least a couple of turns through the rotation. After winning the NL Cy Young Award as a member of the Padres in 2023, Snell has had a disastrous start to the 2024 campaign. In addition to being plagued by the lower-body injuries, Snell didn't make his season debut until April 8 due to his late signing with the Giants and has yet to reach five innings in any of his six starts while turning in ugly ratios (9.51 ERA, 1.94 WHIP).       Freeman went 1-for-1 with a solo home run, three walks, two RBI, one stolen base and two runs scored in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Freeman went yard in the first inning and added a sacrifice fly in the eighth. The three walks he drew Sunday matched his total of free passes from his previous 13 games. Freeman's at a 13.4 percent walk rate on the year to go along with an equally impressive 16.0 percent strikeout rate. The first baseman has a .293/.399/.477 slash line with seven homers, 35 RBI, 35 runs scored, two steals, 16 doubles and two triples over 61 contests.       Stone (6-2) allowed four hits and two walks while striking out six over five shutout innings to earn the win Sunday over the Rockies.

      Advice: Stone has blanked the Mets and the Rockies over 12 innings across his last two starts. He had a 3.60 ERA as of May 21, but it's down to 2.90 with a 1.19 WHIP and 47:19 K:BB through 62 innings after his pair of scoreless outings.
