    • Two more steals Sunday
Rengifo went 2-for-4 with two steals and a run in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Angels. He was also hit by a pitch.

Advice: Rengifo ended a mini 0-for-8 skid at the plate with two hits Sunday and managed to swipe two more bags to bring him up to 17 for the year. Rengifo already has five steals in eight games this month and now sits tied for sixth in baseball. He now has eight multi-hit efforts over his last 18 games and continues to be one of the most consistent hitters in the Angels' lineup. The 27-year-old is now slashing .316/.367/.448 with four homers, 18 RBI, 25 runs and a 12:27 BB:K in 189 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:26 am

    • Struggles continue against Angels
Verlander did not factor into the decision in Sunday's 9-7 loss to the Angels, allowing four runs on seven hits and no walks while striking out three over five innings.

Advice: Verlander had another pedestrian outing against one of the weaker lineups in baseball. The positives were that he didn't allow a home run or walk a batter, though he did give up seven hits for a second straight start and isn't missing many bats, evidenced by his 2.9 swinging strike percentage Sunday. Verlander has just seven strikeouts over his last 10 innings, and this is after coming off of back-to-back nine strikeout performances to end May. The 41-year-old will take a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 51:17 K:BB (57 innings) into his next start against the Tigers over the weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 8:02 am
    • Homers in extra-inning loss
Melendez went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning loss versus the Mariners.

Advice: Melendez has just three hits over his last 10 games, but all of them have been homers. His blast Sunday tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. Melendez is up to seven homers this season, but he's taken a step back overall with a .165/.228/.346 slash line through 197 plate appearances on the year. He's added 19 RBI, 17 runs scored and two stolen bases, and he's still seeing a majority of the playing time in left field despite his poor hitting. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:20 pm
    • MJ Melendez hits game-tying homer in ninth
MJ Melendez hit a game-tying two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Melendez also had a two-run homer as part of a four-RBI game Friday. He’d seem to be in desperate need of the surge, though really, we’d argue that the Royals should have sent him down weeks ago. That’s not to say that he can’t turn things around in the majors — maybe he’s starting to do so — but he’s batting .165 and hasn’t had a multi-hit game since May 10. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:22 pm
    • Swipes bag
Buxton went 0-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Buxton went hitless but managed to reach base on a hit-by-pitch in the 10th inning. He recorded his third stolen base in five tries this season and his first since May 28. Buxton has had a brutal start to the month of June, batting just .115 (3-for-26) with one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base. The 30-year-old continues to start in center field for the Twins due to his defensive prowess, but he has not been a reliable option for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:21 pm
    • Luis Rengifo swipes two bases as Angels top Astros
Luis Rengifo continued his thieving ways in Sunday’s victory over the Astros, going 2-for-4 with a run scored and a pair of stolen bases.

Advice: Rengifo led off the fifth inning with a single off of Justin Verlander, swiped second base and then raced around to score on an RBI single by Willie Calhoun. He also reached on an error in the ninth inning and nabbed second again, but was ultimately stranded there. The versatile 27-year-old entered the season with 18 career stolen bases through his first 448 ballgames. This season, he has already swiped 17 bags in his first 49 games while hitting a robust .316/.367/.448 with four homers and 18 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm

    • Justin Verlander struggles again in no-decision
Justin Verlander struggled again in a no-decision against the Angels on Sunday, giving up four runs on seven hits over his five frames.

Advice: The 41-year-old hurler struck out three batters on the afternoon and didn’t allow a base on balls. The Angels scratched out a pair of runs on sacrifice flies off the bat of Nolan Schanuel, added another as Mickey Moniak bunted into a fielder’s choice in the fourth inning and then Willie Calhoun smacked a run-scoring single in the fifth. Still, Verlander exited with his team leading 7-4 and in line for a victory — but the Astros’ bullpen couldn’t hang on for him. He got just three swings and misses on 101 pitches in the game, posting a CSW of 28 percent. He’ll try to bounce back as he carries a 3.95 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and a 51/17 K/BB ratio (57 innings) into Saturday’s matchup against Tarik Skubal and the Tigers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:54 pm
    • Smacks homer Sunday
Santander went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: Santander has homered in every other game in June, going 11-for-35 (.314) with five long balls and eight RBI over nine contests this month. It's a continuation of the momentum he found at the plate in late May, though the uptick in power is an added positive. The outfielder is up to 14 homers, 37 RBI, 34 runs scored, 13 doubles and one triple while slashing .227/.306/.480 through 60 contests this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:26 pm
    • Absence continuing Sunday
Machado (hip) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game versus the Diamondbacks, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Advice: Machado continues to nurse a strained right hip flexor and will sit Sunday for the fourth straight game. The 31-year-old appeared as a pinch hitter in the first of those absences Thursday but otherwise hasn't seen game action since he suffered the injury Wednesday. Donovan Solano is receiving another start at the hot corner in the series finale against Arizona. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:29 am
