    • Ryan McMahon reaches three times in loss
Ryan McMahon singled and drew a pair of walks as the Rockies were shut out by Gavin Stone and a host of Dodgers’ relievers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

Advice: As a team, the Rockies totaled just five hits in the contest, with only one of them (a double by Charlie Blackmon) going for extra bases. McMahon continues to have a terrific season in the middle of the Rockies’ lineup — slashing .284/.371/.470 with 10 homers and 34 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:12 pm

    • Smacks 10th homer
Paredes went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk Thursday against the Athletics.

Advice: Paredes tallied his 10th homer of the season and third in May, and he's hitting .301 with 15 RBI and 10 runs scored across 24 contests on the month. Paredes remains locked into either the third or fourth spot in the Rays' order, giving him plenty of opportunities to rack up counting stats. Rotowire.com Friday, 7:30 am

    • Paredes blasts 10th home run in win Thursday
Isaac Paredes went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the Athletics on Thursday.

Advice: Paredes started the scoring with a two-run home run in the first inning. The home run was his 10th of the season and he’s now up to 32 RBI. Paredes is now hitting a solid .295 with a .890 OPS on the year.

    • Report: Blue Jays have interest in Ryan McMahon
According to MLB Network’s Jon Morosi, the Rockies are unlikely to move Ryan McMahon this summer, though the Blue Jays and other clubs have interest in him.

Advice: McMahon has busted out or at least enjoyed an extended hot streak this season, coming in at .286/.366/.483 to date. That’s a 135 OPS+ from a guy who has never before topped 100 in a season. Still, the Rockies, who have McMahon signed through 2027, have never heard of the concept of selling high. • Lands on IL with hamstring strain
The Mariners placed Polanco on the 10-day injured list Monday due to a right hamstring strain.

Advice: Polanco was replaced by Josh Rojas in the sixth inning of Sunday's 9-5 win over the Nationals, with the former going 1-for-2 with an RBI before exiting. Polanco missed seven games earlier in May due to a right hamstring issue, and the 30-year-old will spend time on the injured list this time around. General manager Justin Hollander said Monday that while Polanco has not yet undergone an MRI, he is not expected to be sidelined long, per Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM. The Mariners selected Ryan Bliss from Triple-A Tacoma in a corresponding move, and he will start at second base Monday and bat eighth against Astros southpaw Framber Valdez. • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) goes on IL for Mariners
Mariners placed INF Jorge Polanco on the 10-day injured list with a strained right hamstring.

Advice: Polanco aggravated the hamstring Sunday in his fifth appearance back after an eight-day absence due to the same injury. He’s hitting just .195/.293/.302 this season, so the break might be best for everyone. The Mariners will use Dylan Moore and Ryan Bliss at second base for now. The injury should also open up some playing time for Mitch Haniger, who has been sitting against righties with Moore seeing starts in the outfield. Rotoworld Monday, 3:12 pm

    • Power surge continues
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: McMahon popped his 10th home run of the season in the first inning, and half of those long balls have come in his last 10 starts. In that span, he's scored 10 runs and driven in 11 while hitting .268. McMahon has also cut his strikeout rate to 24.9 percent across 225 plate appearances, down 3.5 percentage points from his career clip. Rotowire.com May 27, 12:01 am

    • Ryan McMahon homers in win over Phillies
Ryan McMahon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run in a win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: McMahon is having one of the least-talked-about strong seasons of any player in baseball. The 29-year-old is slashing .294/.377/.500 with 10 home runs and 32 RBI on the year. He has always been an underrated but steady asset in fantasy leagues and it seems like he’s emerging as a true asset in 2024. Rotoworld May 26, 3:35 pm

    • Jorge Polanco (hamstring) to undergo MRI on Monday
Jorge Polanco will undergo an MRI exam on his injured left hamstring on Monday.

Advice: Mariners’ manager Scott Servais told reporters after Sunday’s game that the club will have a better idea on his availability after that exam. The Mariners would probably be best served putting him on the injured list this time around and giving him the proper time to heal, but that’s not the path that they took while allowing him to sit out most of last week on a day-to-day basis. Expect the M’s to provide more information after Monday’s exam. Rotoworld May 26, 2:56 pm
