    • J.T. Realmuto to miss one month after knee surgery
Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski told reporters J.T. Realmuto will miss roughly one month following right knee surgery.

Advice: Dombrowski added that Realmuto has opted to undergo surgery later this week after playing through a small meniscus tear in his right knee for an unspecified period. Given the timing of the surgery, it sounds like Realmuto has a chance to return shortly after next month’s All-Star break. The 33-year-old backstop has been a central component of Philadelphia’s remarkable start to the year, thanks to his stellar defensive contributions, while also posting a solid .720 OPS with seven homers and one steal through 51 games. • Undergoing meniscus surgery
The Phillies placed Realmuto on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with right knee pain, and he's scheduled to undergo a meniscectomy Wednesday.

Advice: According to Matt Gelb of The Athletic, Realmuto has been playing through the injury for nearly a month, and the Phillies elected to address the injury now rather than attempting to wait things out. Gelb also reports that Realmuto will miss roughly a month, potentially setting him up for a mid-July return from the shelf. Rafael Marchan was called up from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move and should serve as the backup catcher to Garrett Stubbs. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:36 am

    • J.T. Realmuto to undergo right knee surgery
Phillies placed C J.T. Realmuto on the 10-day injured list with right knee pain.

Advice: Realmuto will undergo right knee meniscectomy surgery Wednesday in Philadelphia. The catcher will be out indefinitely, but it’s not believed to be a season-ending procedure. While Realmuto is out, the Phillies will likely have Drew Stubbs are their starting backstop, and Rafael Marchan was recalled from Triple-A to take Realmuto’s place on the roster. Even if not a season-ender, this is a blow to fantasy managers and the first-place Phillies, to be sure. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:34 am

    • Gets breather after big game
Rutschman is out of the lineup for Monday's game in Tampa Bay.

Advice: Rutschman started the first three games of the series at catcher and had been in the lineup for each of the last 10 contests for the Orioles. However, after going 3-for-5 with a grand slam and a career-high six RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win, Rutschman will get a breather Monday as Baltimore goes for the rare four-game sweep. James McCann will pick up the start behind the dish. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:24 pm

Advice: Rutschman busted the game open with his second career grand slam, giving the Orioles a 9-2 lead in the eighth inning. His contributions didn't end there, driving in two more batters with RBI singles in the third and seventh innings. His six total RBI were a career high, surpassing his previous best of four. Rutschman has generated a hit in 12 of his last 13 games, batting .339 with four home runs and 16 RBI with a 14.8 percent strikeout rate over that span. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:45 pm

    • Sitting for series finale
Stephenson is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cubs.

    • Knocks in two in win
Stephenson started at catcher, batted fifth and went 1-for-3 with a double and two RBI in Friday's 3-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Stephenson, who had his hand checked out after getting hit by a pitch Thursday, was back in the starting lineup Friday at his usual catching position. He delivered a two-out, two-run double in the fourth inning to give the Reds a 2-0 lead. The double extended Stephenson's hit streak to eight games, during which he's 12-for-31 (.387) with five RBI and eight runs. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:02 am
