    • Luis Robert Jr. (hip) homers Tuesday at Triple-A
Luis Robert Jr. (hip) belted a solo homer on Tuesday in a minor league rehab contest for Triple-A Charlotte.

Advice: Robert made some noise right away in his first rehab contest at the Triple-A level with a towering blast in his first at-bat of the night. He finished 1-for-3 with a pair of runs scored. The 26-year-old fantasy stalwart will likely get a couple more rehab games under his belt before returning to Chicago, but he’s not far away at this juncture. He’s been out since early April due to a Grade 2 hip flexor strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:22 pm

    • Will Benson homers in loss to Cardinals
Will Benson went 1-for-1 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Cardinals on Tuesday.

Advice: In one game, we saw the pluses and minuses of the Will Benson experience. He hit a solo home run off Kyle Gibson but was lifted for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning with a left-handed reliever on the mound. The 25-year-old flashed some intriguing power and speed upside last year, but he now has a .199/.300/.416 triple slash and the Reds are happy to remove him in the middle of a game when a lefty comes in. That makes it hard to roster him in fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:28 pm

    • Nolan Jones (back, knee) runs bases on Tuesday
Nolan Jones (back, knee) progressed to running the bases on Tuesday at Coors Field.

Advice: Jones was pulled off a minor league rehab assignment last week due to right knee soreness, so it’s an encouraging development that he’s resumed running already. The 26-year-old should ramp-up the intensity in the coming days and could get back into minor league contests as early as Thursday with Triple-A Albuquerque. He’s been on the shelf since late April due to a lower back strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:29 pm

    • Nearing new rehab assignment
Jones (back/knee) took batting practice and completed light outfield drills prior to Monday's game, MLB.com reports.

Advice: This was significant progress for Jones, marking the first time he swung a bat since his first rehab assignment was halted when he experienced knee inflammation. The next step will be running the bases, but that could be the final benchmark before he embarks on a second rehab stint in the minors. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:11 am

    • Goes deep in win
Cowser went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Cowser had gone 1-for-18 over the previous six games, though he's maintained a starting role in the Orioles' lineup despite the slump. The outfielder burst onto the scene early in the season, but he's batting a poor .185 (12-for-65) with five extra-base hits and six RBI over 21 contests in May. Cowser is up to seven homers, 24 RBI, 17 runs scored, three stolen bases and a .248/.341/.475 slash line through 164 plate appearances. His strikeout rate has also ticked up to 30.5 percent, which makes it tough for him to get back on track. If Cowser's struggles worsen, Kyle Stowers or Austin Hays could be candidates to see more playing time. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:03 pm

    • Smacks go-ahead homer
Benson went 1-for-1 with a walk and a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson followed up Spencer Steer's homer in the first inning with one of his own off Walker Buehler in the second. While Benson is providing some category juice with seven homers and eight steals through 49 games this season, he's batting just .193/.293/.398. His struggles have led to him falling to the bottom of the order against righties, and the bit of time he was seeing against lefties earlier this season has dried up. • Returns with two hits, stolen base
Fraley went 2-for-4 with two singles and a stolen base in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers. He was picked off and caught stealing on another attempt.

Advice: After missing three starts due to a hand injury, Fraley was back in the cleanup spot against right-hander Walker Buehler. Fraley stole a base right away after his single in the first inning, his eighth steal of the campaign, which puts him on pace to surpass 20 stolen bases for a second consecutive season. The power has been severely lacking, however, as he still sits with just one home run and his SLG is down nearly 80 points from a year ago. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:03 am

    • Will Benson goes deep in victory over Dodgers
Will Benson slugged a solo home run on Saturday night, helping to power the Reds past the Dodgers.

Advice: Benson tattooed a Walker Buehler 2-0 fastball for a 411-foot (104.7 mph EV) solo shot in the second inning that gave the Reds a 2-1 advantage they wouldn’t relinquish. He walked in his only other plate appearance in the ballgame, finishing the night 1-for-1 officially. On the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is now hitting .193/.293/.398 with seven homers and 15 RBI. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm

    • Back in lineup
Fraley (hand) is starting in right field Saturday versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Fraley has been out of the Reds' lineup for the past three games after suffering a bruised hand during Tuesday's contest, though he was used as a pinch runner Thursday. He appears to have fully recovered ahead of Saturday's game and will now look to get hot at the plate after beginning the year with a .692 OPS -- his worst mark since joining the Reds in 2022.
