      Glasnow (7-5) picked up the win Sunday against Kansas City, allowing three hits and one walk with nine strikeouts across seven scoreless innings.

      Advice: Glasnow was exceptional Sunday, striking out at least nine batters for a third straight start and completing his first scoreless start since April 21. He didn't allow an extra-base hit in the outing and got into the win column for the first time in seven starts. Glasnow leads MLB with 125 strikeouts across 93 innings, and his ERA dropped from 3.24 to 3.00 after Sunday's start. The 30-year-old is tentatively scheduled to face the Angels his next time out.       Eflin did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing four runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk over 5.2 innings against Atlanta. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Eflin entered the sixth inning with a four-run lead, but after retiring the first two batters in the frame, he allowed four consecutive singles and was removed one out shy of completing six full innings. The seven strikeouts marked a season high for Eflin, who had failed to record more than three strikeouts during any of his previous five starts. He'll carry a 4.12 ERA and 1.17 WHIP into his next start, currently slated to take place over the weekend when the Rays travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Pirates.     • Tyler Glasnow shuts down Royals, strikes out nine
      Tyler Glasnow cruised against the Royals on Sunday, striking out nine over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 3-0 shutout.

      Advice: Glasnow walked only one and needed just 85 pitches to get his 21 outs today. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak in which the Dodgers just couldn’t score runs for him. He’s 7-5 with a 3.00 ERA and a 125/25 K/BB in 93 innings for the year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:46 pm

      Zach Eflin allowed three earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Braves. He allowed seven hits while walking one and striking out seven.

      Advice: Eflin continues to flash the brilliance he showed last season while faltering in key moments. He cruised through five innings after a lead-off home run by Jarred Kelenic but unraveled with two outs in the sixth. It’s frustrating to see him fall one out shy of the quality start while the bullpen blew his win despite objectively pitching well against Atlanta. His ERA sits at 4.12 on the season.       Gausman (5-5) took the loss Friday as the Blue Jays fell 3-1 to the Guardians, giving up three runs on eight hits over 5.1 innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

      Advice: The right-hander's velocity was erratic all night -- his very first fastball to Steven Kwan to lead off the game clocked at only 89 mph, but one batter later he popped 94.4 mph against Andres Gimenez. Without consistent stuff, Gausman wound up getting tagged for five extra-base hits, including a Will Brennan solo shot in the fourth inning. He was able to minimize the damage, however, and Gausman's now given up three runs or fewer in five of his last six starts, producing a 3.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 38:6 K:BB through 38.2 innings over that stretch.     • Hunter Greene goes five in win over Brewers
      Hunter Greene threw five innings of two-run ball against the Brewers on Friday.

      Advice: Greene sported some of his best velocity of the year tonight, but he walked five and gave up a homer to William Contreras, leading to the early exit. He got the win anyway, moving him to 5-2 with a 3.61 ERA on the season. He really should be even better than this, but he needs to cut back on the walks some. Rotoworld Friday, 10:24 pm

      Greene (5-2) allowed two runs on three hits and five walks over five innings Friday, striking out five and earning a win over the Brewers.

      Advice: Greene coughed up a solo homer to William Contreras in the third inning before Milwaukee scratched across another run in the fifth. Greene generated 14 swinging strikes but struggled with his command, matching his season high with five walks. He needed 105 pitches to complete five frames.     • Kevin Gausman surrenders three runs in loss
      Kevin Gausman lost to the Guardians after allowing three runs in 5 1/3 innings on Friday.

      Advice: Gausman’s velocity was well down for a second straight start tonight, even though he was working with an extra day off. It’s a definite cause for concern at this point; there’d be much more reason to expect Gausman to bounce back while throwing 94 mph than there is while he’s throwing 92.       Manager Dave Roberts said Friday that Miller (shoulder) will return from the injured list and start Wednesday against the Rockies, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

      Advice: Right shoulder inflammation has kept Miller on the injured list since mid-April, but he began a rehab assignment May 26. While he's put up a 7.80 ERA, 1.80 WHIP and 10:8 K:BB through 15 innings, he was able to touch 99 mph with his fastball during his last outing. Miller will be welcomed back to the big leagues by a Rockies offense that currently ranks 17th in the majors with a .687 OPS, though we'll at least note this will be a road game in Colorado.
