    • Throws bullpen session
Kremer (triceps) threw a light bullpen session Monday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Advice: It's the first time Kremer has thrown a bullpen since being placed on the injured list May 21 due to a right triceps strain. The 28-year-old right-hander is eligible to return from the IL on June 5, though general manager Mike Elias noted Monday that Kremer will need a rehab assignment before returning to the majors. Before his injury, Kremer posted a 3-4 record over nine starts with a 4.32 ERA and 1.12 WHIP across 50 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:38 pm

    • Dean Kremer (triceps) throws side session
Dean Kremer, who is on the IL with a right triceps strain, threw a light side session before Monday’s game.

Advice: Kremer has yet to resume facing hitters since going on the injured list last month, so he’s going to be a little while. He was 3-4 with a 4.32 ERA in nine starts before getting hurt. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:29 pm

    • Jon Gray (groin) to face live hitters on Monday
Jon Gray (groin) is scheduled to face live hitters on Monday.

Advice: The Rangers remain hopeful that Gray will only need a minimum stint on the injured list, so there’s a lot riding on Monday’s session. If all goes well there, he could be cleared to return to the rotation later in the week without needing a minor league rehab assignment. The 32-year-old hurler has been sidelined since May 22 due to a right groin strain. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:47 am

    • Scheduled for live batters
Gray (groin) is scheduled to face live hitters Monday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A clearer indication of when Gray could return from the 15-day injured list should emerge following Monday's session. At the time of his placement on the IL, the right-hander wasn't expected to miss much more than the minimum 15 days. Per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, Gray could be an option to rejoin the Texas rotation as soon as Friday versus the Giants if Monday's live session goes off without a hitch. • Stuck with sixth loss
Olson (1-6) took the loss Saturday as the Tigers fell 6-3 to the Red Sox, giving up five runs on six hits and a walk over 5.1 innings. He struck out two.

Advice: He was able to handle most of Boston's lineup, but Enmanuel Valdez proved to be his kryptonite, smacking a double and two homers off Olson. The right-hander had gone eight straight outings without allowing more than two earned runs heading into Saturday, and despite the stumble Olson will take a 2.48 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 52:20 K:BB through 61.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next weekend against the Brewers. • Stumbles vs. Oakland
Sale allowed eight runs on nine hits and a walk over four innings against the A's on Saturday. He struck out four.

Advice: It was a rough day for Sale, who allowed six runs over his first two innings before Brent Rooker added two more with a home run in the fourth. Sale hadn't allowed more than one run in six straight starts prior to Saturday while recording eight or more strikeouts in each of his last five outings. Overall, the veteran left-hander is 8-1 on the season with a 3.06 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 82:10 K:BB across 67.2 innings. Sale will look to right the ship in his next start, currently scheduled for next week in Washington. Rotowire.com Saturday, 5:14 pm

    • Sale allows eight runs in no-decision
Chris Sale allowed eight runs in four innings and got a no-decision against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Sale allowed nine hits, walked one and struck out four. He was due for a bad start after a dominant stretch where he won his last seven consecutive starts. He had his worst outing of the year against the Athletics. It’s the only time Sale was unable to complete five innings in 11 tries this year. His ERA increased from 2.11 to 3.06. The 35-year-old left-hander will look to get back on track against the Nationals on the road next week. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:24 pm

    • Reese Olson hit for five runs in loss to Red Sox
Reese Olson allowed five runs with five strikeouts over 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Olson surrendered a solo homer to Enmanuel Valdez in the second inning. Two base hits and a groundout would bring a second run in to score for Boston in the third. The Red Sox added a run in the fourth on a double and a sacrifice fly. Olson would pitch into the sixth before Valdez got to him again with a two-run blast. That would do it for the 24-year-old right-hander, ending his day with a 2.48 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and a 52/20 K/BB ratio across 61 2/3 innings. He’s set for a matchup against the Brewers in Detroit on Friday. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:37 pm

    • Sharp in Friday's no-decision
Berrios came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Pirates, allowing one run on six hits over seven innings. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Advice: The right-hander pounded the zone in his fourth straight quality start and 10th in 12 trips to the mound this season, firing 69 of 101 pitches for strikes. Berrios is tracking toward a career year, and he'll take a 2.78 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 74.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Orioles.
