• Getting regular playing time
Matos will start in right field and bat sixth Thursday against the Cubs, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Matos is being included in the lineup for the fifth time in six games, and he looks like he'll hang on to a regular role in the corner outfield while Mike Yastrzemski (oblique) is on the injured list. Since getting called up from Triple-A Sacramento last weekend, Matos has gone 6-for-14 with a solo home run. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Hitting bench against southpaw
Conforto is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Cubs, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Conforto will hit the bench for the second time in the series as the Cubs send southpaw Shota Imanaga to the hill. The Giants will go with the right-handed-hitting Austin Slater in left field in place of Conforto, who had plated at least one run in four of his last five games. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

  • Not starting Thursday
Sheets (heel) is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: Sheets was forced out of Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Dodgers with a bruised left heel and is considered day-to-day. The 28-year-old could end up filling more of a part-time role for the White Sox moving forward in the wake of Eloy Jimenez's recent return from the injured list, so Sheets may not re-enter the lineup for a few more days even if he quickly shakes off the heel injury. • Likely back when first eligible
Blackmon (hamstring) will meet the Rockies at the start of their series against the White Sox on Friday and is likely to be activated from the injured list when first eligible Saturday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Blackmon has been working out in Denver and is apparently fully recovered from the hamstring strain. The veteran outfielder's return hasn't been made official, but it appears he'll end up spending only the 10-day minimum on the injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 6:38 am
  • Launches ninth homer
Conforto went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's win over the Cubs.

Advice: Conforto launched a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the second to put the Giants up 2-1 and was directly followed by another solo shot off the bat of David Villar. The outfielder has now posted at least one RBI in three consecutive games and in four of his last five overall. However, Conforto still has just one multi-hit effort this month, where he's now batting .125 with two homers, nine RBI and four runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 6:28 am

  • Smacks third homer
Matos went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Matos jumped on a hanging knuckle-curve from Drew Smyly in the fifth and sent it into the stands in left-center field for his third home run of the campaign and first since May 18 against Colorado. It marked the outfielder's second consecutive two-hit performance and first RBI this month. He's also hit safely in three straight contests and is now batting .320 (8-for-25) in June. • Late addition to lineup
Jordan started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Jordan was a late addition to the lineup after Jake Fraley was scratched due to a calf issue. It was Jordan's second start in three games since his contract was selected from Triple-A Louisville earlier this week. The Reds are now dealing with two injuries in the outfield, including TJ Friedl (hamstring), who landed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:00 am
  • Lone bright spot in loss
Judge went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run and a walk in a loss to the Mets on Wednesday.

Advice: Though the Yankees suffered through an ugly loss to their crosstown rival, Judge kept chugging along, smashing a 400-foot, two-run homer in the sixth inning for his team's only runs. The long ball was the slugger's 10th through 21 games in a monstrous June during which he's also produced 32 RBI. Judge is the league leader with 30 home runs on the campaign, and he's just the third player in MLB history to reach 30 homers before the All-Star break three times in his career, per Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. • Goes deep in win
O'Hearn went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Guardians.

Advice: O'Hearn snapped a 13-game homer drought with his eighth-inning blast. While his power wasn't present in that stretch, the designated hitter went 13-for-46 (.283) with 11 RBI. O'Hearn continues to excel in a strong-side platoon role, posting a .284/.340/.470 slash line with 10 homers, 33 RBI, 28 runs scored and three stolen bases over 235 plate appearances this year, with his success fueled by a career-low 10.2-percent strikeout rate.
