• Third rehab outing coming
Faedo (hip) is scheduled to pitch for Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After tossing a scoreless inning in his first minor-league appearance, Faedo surrendered four hits, two walks and a run across 1.1 innings Saturday. He's been on the IL since June 5 but is expected to rejoin the active roster soon. In fact, Tuesday's outing could be his last at Toledo. Rotowire.com Today, 1:06 pm

  • Jordan Romano (elbow) resumes playing catch
Jordan Romano (elbow) has resumed playing catch.

Advice: It qualifies as a step in the right direction that Romano was able to resume throwing, albeit light catch, over the weekend, after being shut down last week due to renewed right elbow soreness. The 31-year-old veteran stopper is going to have to build up his throwing program basically from scratch again and is probably going to be out through the upcoming All-Star break. • Outrighted to Triple-A
Hartlieb cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Albuquerque on Tuesday.

Advice: Hartlieb was removed from the 40-man roster Saturday after having his contract selected June 8. After going unclaimed, he'll return to Albuquerque, where he's logged a 5.61 ERA across 33.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 12:58 pm
  • Geoff Hartlieb clears waivers, outrighted to AAA
Rockies sent RHP Geoff Hartlieb outright to Triple-A Albuquerque.

Advice: Hartlieb wasn’t claimed after being designated for assignment by the Rockies on Sunday. The right-hander allowed nine earned runs in nine innings of work (9.00 ERA), and will be organizational depth for Colorado for the remainder of 2024. Rotoworld Today, 12:49 pm
  • Selected by San Francisco
The Giants selected Burgos' contract from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

Advice: The move corresponds with the Giants designating Trenton Brooks for assignment. In nine games with Sacramento this season, Burgos has a 1.64 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 23:2 K:BB over 22 innings. The 25-year-old southpaw will work out of the Giants' bullpen, likely as a multi-inning reliever. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:02 pm

  • Plays light catch Monday
Romano (elbow) played light catch Monday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Romano felt soreness in his right elbow while throwing loss toss from 120 feet this past Friday, so it's a pleasant surprise he's throwing again already, even if only lightly. The veteran reliever has dealt with elbow problems off and on since spring training, so he'll need to clear several hurdles before a timetable for a return can be mapped out. He's been on the shelf since June 1. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:26 pm
  • Beginning assignment Tuesday
Borucki (wrist) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Kevin Gorman of TribLive.com reports.

Advice: Borucki graduated to facing live hitters over the weekend and will now head to the minor leagues after experiencing no issues following his latest session of live BP. The 30-year-old southpaw has been on the injured list since early April and is aiming to return to Pittsburgh's bullpen ahead of the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:57 am

  • Chase Silseth gets hit hard in third rehab start
Chase Silseth (elbow) was hit hard in his third minor league rehab start at Triple-A Salt Lake on Friday, giving up five runs on eight hits over his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Advice: The 24-year-old right-hander also issued three walks while striking out a pair in the ballgame. He has been abysmal through three starts at the Triple-A level this season, posting a 10.22 ERA, 2.43 WHIP and a 9/11 K/BB ratio over 12 1/3 innings. He did get up to 92 pitches (56 strikes) in the outing though and with the recent injuries to Jose Soriano and Patrick Sandoval, the Angels may have no choice but to bring Silseth up and roll him out at some point next week. • Rockies designate Geoff Hartlieb for assignment
Rockies designated RHP Geoff Hartlieb for assignment.

Advice: Hartlieb has been removed from Colorado’s 40-man roster after allowing 10 runs (nine earned) with a 7/4 K/BB ratio over nine innings of work (five appearances) this season for the Rockies. The 30-year-old righty will almost certainly pass through waivers unclaimed. Rotoworld Saturday, 12:57 pm
