    • Gausman allows one earned run in win over ChiSox
Kevin Gausman allowed one earned and four hits over six innings while earning the win on Tuesday against the White Sox.

Advice: Gausman didn’t face much resistance in this one, as the Blue Jays grabbed an early 3-0 lead in the second, which more or less put Gausman in cruise control against one of the league’s worst offenses. Gausman earned a win in three of his five stars this month, and will have a chance to start June off on a strong note when he makes his next scheduled start on Monday against the Orioles. • Punches out 10 in loss
Rodriguez (5-2) took the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Rodriguez got off to a rocky start Tuesday, allowing a pair of runs in each of the first two innings. The 24-year-old Rodriguez would settle in and hold Boston off the board over his final four frames while recording a career-high 10 strikeouts. However, the Orioles couldn't overcome the early deficit in the eventual 8-3 defeat. It's the first time since April 23 that Rodriguez has allowed more than two earned runs in a start -- he'd gone 2-0 with a 1.08 ERA in his previous three outings. Overall, he sports a 3.53 ERA with a 1.33 WHIP and 61:21 K:BB across 51 innings this season. Rodriguez's next start is currently scheduled for early next week in Toronto. • Grayson Rodriguez stumbles early against Red Sox
Grayson Rodriguez allowed four runs on seven hits in six innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: The Red Sox jumped on Rodriguez early, scoring four runs on five hits in the first two innings, but the 24-year-old responded with four shutout innings to end his day. He also struck out 10 batters and walked just one on the day while posting a 38 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. It mostly came down to location with Rodriguez on Tuesday. The pitches the Red Sox hit hard were either pitches that Rodriguez missed his spots on or pitches early in the count that he was simply trying to throw over the plate. He now has a 3.53 ERA and will look to get back on track next week against the Blue Jays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm
    • Tosses seven shutout in no-decision
Steele did not factor into the decision Monday against Milwaukee, allowing three hits and one walk over seven shutout innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: Steele posted his best start since returning from a hamstring injury May 6, generating 13 whiffs in 93 total pitches. The Cubs lefty limited a ferocious Brewers offense that entered with the fourth-best team wRC+ at 115, allowing Milwaukee to scatter only four singles. Steele's ERA is now 4.45 over total 32.1 innings with 31:7 K:BB. The 28-year-old is currently slated to face the Reds at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Monday, 5:33 pm

    • Steele tosses seven shutout innings in no-decision
Justin Steele threw seven shutout innings and got a no-decision against the Brewers on Monday.

Advice: Steele allowed three hits, a walk and struck out eight. He looked like the pitcher we saw last year who had a 3.06 ERA and 176 strikeouts. Steele lowered his ERA to 4.45, but there should still be room for growth as his xFIP is 3.71. The 28-year-old left-hander is set to face the Reds on the road this weekend.

    • Picks up third win
Bibee (3-1) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing three runs on six hits and one walk over six innings while striking out six.

Advice: All of the damage against Bibee came in the bottom of the third, when he allowed two of the first four batters to reach before surrendering a three-run blast to Taylor Ward. However, the right-hander was able to work his way out of trouble for the rest of the night while inducing 20 swings and misses. Bibee has now logged back-to-back quality starts and has given up three runs or fewer in six of his last eight outings. Saturday also marked his first win since April 21 against the Athletics (span of six starts). Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:49 am

    • Bibee picks up third win Saturday
Tanner Bibee allowed three runs in six innings and got the win in the Guardians’ 4-3 victory over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: Bibee’s win was his third of the season. He allowed six hits, one walk and struck out six. Bibee got touched up by Taylor Ward for a three-run home run, but otherwise held down the Angels offense for the rest of his outing. His ERA is now 3.99 on the season. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Nationals at home next week.

    • Strikes out nine in win
Verlander (3-2) allowed two runs (one earned) on eight hits and struck out nine without walking a batter Friday to earn the win over the Athletics.

Advice: Verlander has alternated quality starts with shorter outings over his seven outings this season, and this was one of his good ones. The nine strikeouts were a season high, and it was just the second time he hasn't walked a batter this year. The 41-year-old has a 3.60 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 35:14 K:BB through 40 innings. Verlander is projected to make his next start in Seattle. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:57 pm

    • Justin Verlander strikes out nine in win over A’s
Justin Verlander struck out nine while allowing two runs — one earned — over six innings to get a win over the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: The 41-year-old did allow eight hits, but the only earned run he gave up was a solo homer to J.J. Bleday in the fifth inning. The right-hander had his swing-and-miss stuff going Friday night, and was much more effective than his four-run, 4 2/3 inning start against Milwaukee last weekend. The future Hall of Famer isn’t the same pitcher as he was a few years ago, but he’s more than capable of getting the job done. Rotoworld Friday, 9:15 pm
