      Advice: Garcia drew a second consecutive start at the keystone and stole two bases in the first inning after leading off with a walk. The 24-year-old has struggled mightily in June, as he entered the contest slashing .145/.211/.169 with no homers and four steals across 90 plate appearances. The Kansas City infield became more crowded with CJ Alexander debuting and Michael Massey (back) returning from the injured list Monday (though Massey will serve as DH for now), so Garcia will have to start producing at the plate and on the basepaths to maintain a starting role.       Manager Craig Counsell said Tuesday that Imanaga's next start will be moved back from Wednesday to Thursday, Taylor McGregor of Marquee Sports Network reports.

      Advice: The Cubs will give Imanaga an extra day to rest after he was lit up for 10 earned runs in just three innings during his last start. Despite his awful performance Friday, the 30-year-old southpaw has still been strong overall with a 2.96 ERA and 1.10 WHIP alongside an 81:12 K:BB through 79 innings over 14 starts.       Encarnacion-Strand will undergo surgery on his right wrist July 11, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: The recovery is expected to take three months, effectively ending Encarnacion-Strand's 2024 season. He initially went on the injured list back in early May with a right ulnar styloid fracture, but subsequent testing revealed ligament damage, which he'll need surgery to address.       Christian Encarnacion-Strand will undergo season-ending right hand surgery on July 11.

      Advice: Encarnacion-Strand has been out since late April after suffering ligament damage in his right hand when he was hit by a pitch. The 24-year-old slugger’s decision to undergo surgery to repair a ulnar styloid fracture on the inside of his hand near his wrist, will keep him sidelined until early October, and is basically going to end his season. He can be safely dropped in all re-draft formats, but is obviously worth stashing in all keeper and dynasty league formats.       Advice: Peralta pitched pretty well in the outing, but he could go only five frames as a result of throwing 104 pitches. That's been a theme for the right-hander of late, as he's completed six innings in only one of his past six starts despite allowing three or fewer earned runs in five of those outings. He’s finished six innings just once in his last six starts, which is a real problem given that he’s supposed to be the ace of a rotation that’s quite shorthanded at the moment.
