Martinez isn't in the Mets' lineup for the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Dodgers, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: After a 1-for-4 effort in Game 1, Martinez will get a breather to conclude Tuesday's activities. DJ Stewart will instead get the nod as New York's DH and bat fourth. Rotowire.com Today, 4:32 pm

    • Triples, scores in loss
Carroll went 1-for-3 with a walk, a triple and a run scored in Sunday's 3-1 loss to Miami.

Advice: Arizona's offense couldn't get anything going until Carroll tripled and scored in the bottom of the eighth inning. It was the outfielder's fourth triple of the season, all coming within the last eight games. However, there's been little to celebrate for Carroll, whose .188 average and .096 ISO are miles below what they were in 2023. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:13 am

    • Corbin Carroll triples and scores in loss to Fish
Corbin Carroll tripled, walked and scored a run as the Diamondbacks fell to the Marlins on Sunday afternoon in Miami.

Advice: The 23-year-old outfielder smacked a one-out triple off of Calvin Faucher in the eighth inning and dashed home with the Diamondbacks’ first run on a ground ball off the bat of Lourdes Gurriel Jr. While Carroll’s bat has perked up over the past couple of weeks, he’s still slashing an anemic .188/.274/.284 on the season to go along with two homers, 17 RBI and nine stolen bases. • Hitless but makes impact
Carroll went 0-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Carroll managed to make an impact without a hit. He led off the bottom of the first inning with a walk then stole a base before scoring the club's first run. An inning later, his sacrifice fly plated what turned out to be the winning run. The move back up to the top of the order hasn't shaken Carroll out of a season-opening slump. He was batting .203 as of May 5, when manager Torey Lovullo moved him back into the familiar leadoff role. Seventeen games later, Carroll's average has dipped to .186. • Idle Saturday
Arozarena isn't in the Rays' lineup for Saturday's game against the Royals.

Advice: After an 0-for-4 performance Friday to continue his prolonged slump, Arozarena will sit down Saturday while Richie Palacios, Jose Siri and Jonny DeLuca start in the outfield. Rotowire.com Saturday, 12:52 pm

    • Randy Arozarena takes a seat Saturday vs. Royals
Randy Arozarena is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Royals.

Advice: There doesn’t seem to be a compelling explanation for Arozarena’s ongoing offensive struggles as he holds a calamitous .159/.250/.317 triple-slash line with eight homers and seven steals in 212 plate appearances over 50 games. The 29-year-old is striking out at bit more than usual and his barrel rate has been cut nearly in half. The lack of consistent hard contact is going to make it difficult for him to revert to form over the rest of the year, but it might only take one extended hot streak for him to turn things around. • Clubs third homer
Martinez went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's loss to the Giants.

Advice: The veteran DH also struck out three times, as he continues to lock in his timing at the plate following a delayed start to the season. Through 25 games as a Met, Martinez is slashing .289/.326/.456 with three homers and 10 RBI. The home run was Martinez's third from May 11 through Friday. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:27 am

    • Back in slump
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a walk Wednesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Arozarena had a surge in power for the first two weeks of May with five homers in the first 12 games of the month, but he has struggled for the last week. In his last seven games, he has hit just .172 with a 29 percent strikeout to go along with three runs scored and no RBI. Arozarena's eight home runs and seven stolen bases for the season are salvaging his production, but that's paired with a .162 average and .262 wOBA. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:49 am

    • Corbin Carroll triples, plates two in win Wednesday
Corbin Carroll went 1-for-5 with a triple and two RBI against the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Advice: Carroll put the Diamondbacks on the board in the fifth inning, hitting a triple off Tyler Glasnow to bring two runs in to score. He then cross home plate on a wild pitch. The 23-year-old outfielder has put together a modest five-game hitting streak. Carroll has struggled mightily to start the season, slashing .191/.275/.282 with two homers, 21 runs scored, 16 RBI, and eight steals across 211 plate appearances. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:01 pm
