    • Nabs sixth win
Garrett (6-2) picked up the win in Sunday over the Phillies, getting charged with one run on one hit and one walk over 1.2 innings of relief. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander entered the game with two outs in the seventh inning with the Mets down 4-3, making him the pitcher of record when New York erupted for three runs in the top of the ninth. Garrett did put two runners aboard before being lifted in the bottom of the frame and watched one of them come around to score, however. He's been tagged for runs in six of his last eight appearances, stumbling to a ghastly 11.74 ERA, 2.22 WHIP and 10:6 K:BB through 7.2 innings over that stretch, but Garrett will likely remain part of the team's high-leverage crew even after Edwin Diaz (shoulder) rejoins the bullpen. • Swipes another bag Sunday
Carroll went 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Sunday's win over the Padres.

Advice: Carroll tallied his second multi-hit game as well as his second stolen base this month after nabbing second in the eighth. He now has six hits and has reached base a total of nine times over his last four games. The 23-year-old still has a poor season slash line of .204/.291/.290 with two homers, 20 RBI, 33 runs and a 28:52 BB:K in 278 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago

    • Performance picking up in June
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Arozarena delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning and recorded his second multi-hit game in his last three starts. He's hit well across seven games in June, going 8-for-22 with an RBI and three runs scored. Arozarena still has a disappointing .614 OPS across 260 plate appearances, though he has still managed eight home runs and seven stolen bases across 63 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am
    • Could return Tuesday
Diaz (right shoulder impingement) pitched a scoreless inning Sunday for High-A Brooklyn and could rejoin the Mets as soon as Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A report from earlier in the week suggested Diaz could return Wednesday or Thursday, so this report bumps up his potential return by a day. Catcher Francisco Alvarez (left thumb surgery) is also tracking toward a potential return Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Cruises to sixth win
Imanaga (6-1) picked up the win Sunday against the Reds, allowing two earned runs on five hits and one walk in 6.2 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Imanaga notched his seventh quality start of the season despite allowing a home run for the third consecutive start. The southpaw struggled in his previous two appearances, allowing 12 runs (eight earned) in just 8.2 innings. Despite the recent rough patch, the 30-year-old rookie has been excellent this season, pitching to a 1.96 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP with an elite 72:11 K:BB in 69 innings. He will look to build off Sunday's start his next time out, currently scheduled for next weekend versus the Cardinals. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:57 pm
    • Shota Imanaga wins for first time in a month
Shota Imanaga got back into the win column Sunday after allowing two runs in 6 2/3 innings versus the Reds.

Advice: He struck out seven. Imanaga, who was 5-0 through six turns this season, had gone five straight starts without a win, though only the last two of those outings were bad. His ERA stands at 1.96, and the Cubs are 10-2 when he pitches, compared to 22-32 the rest of the time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:08 pm
    • Arozarena has two hits, RBI in loss to BAL
Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to Baltimore on Sunday.

Advice: The two hits are nice, and Arozarena now has five hits in his last six games; however, the 29-year-old had three batted balls on the day and none of them were hit harder than 85 mph. On the positive side, Arozarena is now 8-for-22 in June and is pulling the ball and hitting it on the line more while striking out just 11 percent of the time. He seems to be trading some power for contact and considering he’s still on pace to steal 20 or more bases, raising his batting average and increasing his stolen base opportunities would be welcome, even if it does come at the expense of some power. • Closing in on return
Turner (hamstring) said Sunday he's "getting close" to returning from the 10-day injured list, and it's possible he's activated within the next week, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Rob Thomson indicated the shortstop is running at about 75-to-80 percent of full speed, which makes a return this week seem less likely. Turner isn't expected to embark on a rehab assignment before being reinstated, however, which shortens his potential return timeline. The 30-year-old will attempt to get back to running full speed this week in Boston, which could be one of the final hurdles before he's cleared for game action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:01 pm

    • Gelof gets Sunday off against Blue Jays
Zack Gelof is not in the starting lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: This is technically the first off day that Gelof has had this year, not including when he hasn’t been available due to injury. He’ll take a break with Aledmys Diaz getting the start at second base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:57 am
