    • Cruises to victory Saturday
Miller (5-5) earned the win over the Angels on Saturday, allowing three hits and issuing one walk while striking out nine batters over six innings.

Advice: The score was close early on, but a four-run fourth inning for Seattle put Miller on cruise control. The right-hander racked up 13 whiffs en route to his nine punchouts, which tied his second-highest total of the season. Miller has earned the win in each of his last two starts following a stretch of six outings between April 24 and May 22 during which he went 0-4. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:38 pm
    • Efficient in quality start
Valdez (4-3) earned the win over Minnesota on Saturday, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out four batters over seven innings.

Advice: Valdez needed a modest 85 pitches to get through seven frames before turning the game over to the bullpen. He notched his second straight quality start and fourth over his past five contests. Overall, Valdez has given up three or fewer earned runs in seven of his nine starts on the campaign. • Miller strikes out nine in win Saturday
Bryce Miller threw six shutout innings and picked up the win in the Mariners’ 9-0 victory over the Angels on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Miller’s fifth of the season. He gave up three hits, walked one and struck out nine. Miller’s ERA is now 3.18 on the season. After losing three straight decisions, he’s now won his last two starts. The 25-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:25 pm
    • Framber Valdez spins seven strong in win over MIN
Framber Valdez gave up just one hit on two runs while working seven innings to get a win Saturday against the Twins.

Advice: Valdez did issue two walks, but he was able to keep the self-inflicted damage to a low roar while striking out four. The southpaw has gone seven innings in three of his last five starts, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of those outings. There have been some clunkers for Valdez in 2024, but the good has mostly outweighed the poor. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:02 pm
    • Nathaniel Lowe gets rare day off on Saturday
Nathaniel Lowe is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Marlins.

Advice: It’s a rare day off for Lowe, who holds a .701 OPS with two homers, 17 RBI and one steal in 153 plate appearances over 36 games. It’ll be versatile Ezequiel Duran taking over at the cold corner to open Saturday’s game against the Marlins at loanDepot park. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:51 am

    • On bench versus lefty
Lowe is not in the starting lineup Saturday against the Marlins.

Advice: Lowe will get a day off as Texas faces left-hander Ryan Weathers on Saturday. Ezequiel Duran will replace him at first base and bat fifth versus Miami. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:47 am

    • ‘No timetable’ for Trea Turner (hamstring) yet
Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, but doesn’t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies can’t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario. • Breather Saturday
Wong is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Tigers, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Advice: Wong will take a seat after going 2-for-6 with a double and a run scored over the first two games of the series with Detroit. Reese McGuire will draw the start behind the plate and bat seventh against the Tigers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:39 am

    • Loses to Rockies
Buehler (1-3) allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and four walks while striking out seven over six innings, taking the loss Friday versus the Rockies.

Advice: Buehler gave up three runs in the third inning and a solo home run to Ezequiel Tovar in the fourth. While it wasn't a particularly sharp outing for Buehler, the Dodgers failed to support him with just five hits and two walks. He has two quality starts in five outings since returning from Tommy John surgery. Buehler is at a 4.32 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 24:7 K:BB over 25 innings this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Pirates. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:08 pm
