• Lourdes Gurriel Jr. goes 0-for-4 in loss to Reds
Lourdes Gurriel Jr. went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: Gurriel got off to a really fast start and still posted decent run and RBI numbers for a while after that concluded, but he’s been a mess lately; he’s batting just .160 with no homers and three RBI in his last 19 games. On the plus side, his strikeout rate is fine and Statcast thinks he’s been fairly unlucky to date. He figures to retain some mixed-league value going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Sal Frelick homers, drives in two vs. Pirates
Sal Frelick went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Pirates.

Advice: Frelick was all over the place on Tuesday night. After making an impressive diving catch in the top of the second inning, he gave the Brewers their first runs of the night when he hit a two-run homer off Quinn Priester to give the Brewers an early lead. Tuesday’s homer marked Frelick’s first of the season and the fourth of his career. He’s not on the fantasy radar at this time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm
  • Not in Tuesday's lineup
Brown is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Astros, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Brown has gone 3-for-22 through nine games in May and will take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Brent Rooker is starting in left field while Kyle McCann serves as the designated hitter. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:54 pm

  • Taking seat Tuesday
Happ is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game in Atlanta.

Advice: The switch-hitter is better from the left side of the plate, so it makes sense to give him a breather as Atlanta sends southpaw Chris Sale to the hill. Mike Tauchman will occupy left field for the Cubs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:53 pm
  • Records second steal Monday
Brown went 1-for-4 with a stolen base in a loss to the Astros on Monday.

Advice: Brown rapped out a single for the third time in the last four games, while the steal was his second of the season. The 31-year-old's power drought is increasingly concerning, however, considering he has just six extra-base hits in 113 plate appearances after averaging one every 10.2 trips to the batter's box over the previous three seasons. • More timely hitting Monday
Bleday went 2-for-4 with an RBI double in a loss to the Astros on Monday. He was also caught stealing on his one attempt.

Advice: Bleday plated the Athletics' second and final run of the night with his fifth-inning two-bagger, driving in Abraham Toro. The lefty-swinging Bleday has been mostly clicking at the plate in May, producing a .286/.400/.524 slash line with a 15.7 percent walk rate, six extra-base hits and nine RBI over 51 plate appearances. • Steals in four straight
Doyle went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Doyle was unable to extend a modest five-game hitting streak, but he was still impactful by tallying his eighth stolen base of the year. He's also stolen a base in each of his last four games, displaying a significant increase in aggressiveness on the basepaths. Doyle is hitting .283 with 25 runs scored across 160 plate appearances on the season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:47 am
  • Clubs homer Monday
Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain. • Bleday has two hits Monday
J.J. Bleday went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in the loss to the Astros on Monday.

Advice: It was Bleday’s second game in a row with two hits. He’s had at least one hit in seven of his last eight games. Bleday attempted a stolen base for the first time this season and was caught. He stole five bases in 80 games with Oakland last season. His .193 ISO so far this season is a career high. With the RBI Monday, he’s up to 18 RBI on the season.
