• Jeimer Candelario (tendinitis) returns to lineup
Jeimer Candelario (tendinitis) returned to the Reds’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: Candelario was pulled from Tuesday’s game due to general fatigue and tendinitis and then sat out Wednesday’s game as a precautionary measure. He’s feeling much improved after a couple of days off though and is back in there as the Reds’ designated hitter on Friday night. He’ll bat third against Kutter Crawford and the Red Sox. • On bench again Wednesday
Candelario (tendinitis) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Candelario will be on the bench for the second game in a row while he deals with unspecified tendinitis. Reds manager David Bell already said that Candelario isn't at any major risk of landing on the injured list, so the expectation is that the veteran corner infielder will be good to go for Friday's series opener versus the Red Sox coming out of Thursday's team off day. • Battling tendinitis
Manager David Bell said Candelario was removed from Tuesday's win over the Pirates due to tendinitis, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Advice: Candelario appeared to be in a bit of pain while running the bases during Tuesday's game, eventually leading to his removal during the eighth inning. However, the Reds' skipper noted that the 30-year-old infielder is not at risk of spending time on the injured list, and he seemed confident that the injury will go away relatively quickly. Should Candelario have to miss any games, Santiago Espinal figures to be the next man up to start at third base. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:09 pm

Alec Bohm went 3-for-5 with a three-run homer on Monday in the Phillies’ lopsided win over the Padres.

It was his seventh long ball of the year and just the second time he’s gone deep since the start of the month. The 27-year-old corner infielder is in the midst of the best season of his career so far with an .848 OPS through 70 games. Rotoworld Monday, 6:33 pm

  • Alec Bohm with three more hits Sunday
Alec Bohm went 3-for-4 with a double, walk, and two runs batted in on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: April Bohm is back. He had eight hits and five RBI this weekend in Baltimore without striking out as he continues in what’s been a true breakout season for the third basemen. His 57 RBI are second most in the National League, behind only Marcell Ozuna. Rotoworld Jun 16, 1:45 pm
