• Belts decisive homer
Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored Monday in a 4-3 win against St. Louis.

Advice: With the score tied 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning, Nimmo swatted a 415-foot solo shot to right field that provided the winning margin for New York. The veteran outfielder extended his hitting streak to five games, and four of his seven hits over that span have gone for extra bases. Nimmo has lifted his season average to .228 with the hot stretch following a cold start to the campaign. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

  • Teoscar Hernández swats ninth homer of season
Teoscar Hernández hit a solo homer while going 2-for-4 in a win over the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: He also singled. It’s the ninth homer of the season for Hernández, and one of four the Dodgers hit off Marlins starter Roddery Muñoz in Monday’s victory. The outfielder has also driven in 26 runs over 37 games with a decent — if unspectacular — slash of .259/.325/.490. So far, so good in Hernández’s first season as a member of the Dodgers. • Freddie Freeman homers as Dodgers top Marlins
Freddie Freeman hit a solo homer in a victory Monday over the Marlins.

Advice: Freeman went back-to-back with Shohei Ohtani, and his solo blast gave the Dodgers a 3-2 lead. The 34-year-old hasn’t shown a ton of pop in the early portion of the year, as it’s just the third homer for the veteran first baseman in 2024. He’s hitting .292 with a .407 on-base percentage, however, and all of those numbers are sure to climb as we get deeper into the year. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Shohei Ohtani homers, steals two bases vs. Marlins
Shohei Ohtani homered while stealing two bases in a 6-3 win over the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: What is there to say? Ohtani became the first designated hitter for the Dodgers to homer and steal two bases since Eric Young did it back in 1998. End of similarities between Ohtani and Young. The two-way star absolutely blistered a two-run homer in the first for his 11th roundtripper of the year, and he’s already driven in 27 runs. There are not enough superlatives to describe how good of a baseball player Shohei Ohtani is. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Alex Vesia picks up save against Marlins
Alex Vesia pitched a scoreless ninth to get a save against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: Vesia came in to protect a three-run lead and the southpaw was up to the challenge. That’s the first save of the season for the 28-year-old — and just the fourth of his career — and he lowered his ERA to 1.65 with the scoreless frame. He could see more save chances with Evan Phillips out with his hamstring injury, but nothing is for sure in this situation. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Roddery Muñoz allows four homers in loss to LAD
Roddery Muñoz allowed six runs on seven hits over 4 2/3 innings while picking up a loss Monday to the Dodgers.

Advice: Muñoz issues three walks and struck out five. He was staked a 2-0 lead in the first, but it evaporated quickly after he allowed a two-run homer to Shohei Ohtani and a solo blast to Freddie Freeman a batter later. He also gave up homers to Teoscar Hernandez and James Outman in a start that showed his ability to miss bats, but also his inconsistent command of that arsenal. Muñoz will be back on the bump with another tough match-up against the Phillies on Sunday. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago
  • Walker Buehler goes four innings in season debut
Walker Buehler allowed three runs over four innings in a start Monday against the Marlins.

Advice: He allowed six hits with no walks, and he struck out four. Buehler didn’t get deep enough to qualify for the win, as he threw 77 pitches in his first start since June of 2022. The right-hander gave up a pair of run-scoring singles in the first and a homer to Nick Gordon in the second, but Buehler settled down nicely over the final two innings, and showed flashes of the ace hurler he was prior to Tommy John surgery. Buehler will try and work deeper in his next start, scheduled for Sunday against the Padres. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Starting Tuesday
Urena will start Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: This will mark Urena's first start of the 2024 season, though he's given the Rangers length out of the bullpen at times through the first month of the campaign. He most recently worked three frames April 27 vs. Cincinnati and three innings April 18 against Detroit, and he figures to eat up at least two or three innings Tuesday if all goes according to plan.
