    The Reds activated Montas (forearm) from the 15-day injured list ahead of his scheduled start against the Diamondbacks on Tuesday.

    Advice: Montas is set to rejoin the rotation Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks after missing the last two weeks with a bruised right forearm. The Reds have opted to bring him back without a rehab start, as Montas evidently looked good enough in a couple bullpen sessions to convince the team he was ready. Because of that, he might not be be able to handle a full workload. That, combined with his uneven performance before the injury, makes Montas an iffy fantasy start Tuesday.   • Marlins send A.J. Puk on rehab assignment
    Marlins sent A.J. Puk (shoulder) on a rehab assignment to Single-A Jupiter.

    Advice: The 29-year-old will get another rehab start as he works to get back from a shoulder injury. Puk struck out two batters over an inning of work in the Florida Complex League and will continue to get relief innings with the team deciding to use Puk as a bullpen arm rather than a starter.   • Setback after live BP
    Waldichuk (elbow) experienced a setback after throwing a 25-pitch live batting practice April 29 and is shut down for the time being, MLB.com reports.

    Advice: The left-hander has not thrown since that session and is slated to be reevaluated in coming days. It's naturally a tough break for Waldichuk, who opened the season on the 60-day IL but had been making uninterrupted progress prior to this recent stumble. Given Waldichuk will almost certainly require a full-length rehab assignment whenever he is cleared for game action, he may be hard-pressed to be ready for activation before mid-June.   • Live BP session goes well
    Medina (knee) faced hitters during a 20-pitch live bullpen session at the Oakland Coliseum on Monday and came away feeling good, MLB.com reports.

    Advice: It's another step in the right direction for Medina, who's now slated to head to the Athletics' minor-league complex in Arizona to throw a simulated game Friday.     Adams recorded his ninth hold in Monday's loss to the Rangers, firing a scoreless seventh inning during which he recorded two strikeouts.

    Athletics optioned RHP Dany Jiménez to Triple-A Las Vegas.

    Advice: The 30-year-old reliever will head down to the minors after making 15 appearances with the Athletics where he posted a 3.68 ERA, 1.50 WHIP with a 11/13 K/BB ratio across 14 2/3 innings. Jiménez is 0-for-2 with his save opportunities this season, which is something that may have been a factor in the organization’s decision to send him down to the minors.     Bachman (shoulder) is scheduled to throw off a mound Tuesday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

    Advice: Bachman underwent shoulder surgery last October and had his rehab halted by back spasms in late April. However, the back issue appears to have subsided, allowing the right-hander to resume working toward a return to game action.     Advice: Winder appears to be progressing nicely and could return to the Twins’ roster soon if all goes well with this rehab start. He had a rough go in his last rehab assignment with Single-A Fort Myers when he allowed four earned runs across 3 2/3 innings of work.
