    Mickey Moniak swatted a three-run homer on Friday night, powering the Angels to a 6-0 victory over the Guardians in Cleveland.

    Advice: Moniak delivered the biggest blow of the game, launching a two-out, 411-foot (109.9 mph EV) three-run shot on the first pitch that he saw from Tanner Bibee in the fourth inning — increasing the Angels’ lead to 5-0. Moniak also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-4. On the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is now hitting .164/.211/.269 with a pair of homers and seven RBI.     Steven Kwan went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a walk as the Guardians were shut out by the Angels on Friday night.

    Advice: As a team, the Guardians were only able to muster six hits and a pair of walks on the night, so Kwan definitely did his part. He has been a tremendous catalyst atop the Guardians’ lineup this season, slashing a robust .356/.406/.500 with three homers, 11 RBI and three stolen bases through his first 31 ballgames.     DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 10-8 win over the Mets.

    Advice: Getting the start in center field against lefty Jose Quintana and batting eighth in his 2024 debut, DeLuca made a big impact in his return from a hand injury. The 25-year-old figures to handle a short-side platoon role in a Tampa Bay outfield that remains in flux due to Josh Lowe's hamstring strain, and poor starts at the plate for Jose Siri (thigh/suspension) and Randy Arozarena.     Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder has had a brutal start to 2024 that includes what would be a career-high 29.1 percent strikeout rate and a career-low .455 OPS, but Arozarena came through with a solid performance in a wild win. His fourth-inning long ball off Dedniel Nunez was his fourth homer in 32 games to go along with four steals, and Arozarena has contributed a respectable 14 runs and 15 RBI despite his woeful .145/.242/.265 slash line.   • Brandon Marsh knocks in two in Phillies’ win
    Brandon Marsh had a two-run single and a stolen base Friday as the Phillies edged the Giants 4-3.

    Advice: Marsh is still in a little rut that’s seen him go 3-for-19 with no extra-base hits and 10 strikeouts in his last six games. He got off to a fast start last year, only to cool off in May.   • Aaron Judge starts key rally against Tigers
    Aaron Judge went singled, walked, stole a base and scored a run as the Yankees rallied to beat the Tigers in the ninth inning on Friday night in the Bronx.

    Advice: Judge drew a two-out walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but wound up being stranded there. He then started a key rally in the ninth inning with a leadoff single off of Tigers’ closer Jason Foley then came around to score the tying run on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.   • Hunter Renfroe swats homer as KC beats Texas
    Hunter Renfroe homered and walked in a rout of the Rangers on Friday.

    Advice: Renfroe got the Royals on the board with a solo shot in the fifth off an otherwise-excellent Michael Lorenzen. The outfielder has gone deep three times in his first season with Kansas City, but the .155/.228/.298 line tells the story of how ineffective he’s been in the first month-plus.   • Michael Lorenzen holds Royals to one run over six
    Michael Lorenzen surrendered one run over six innings without factoring into the decision Friday against the Royals.

    Advice: Lorenzen and Brady Singer were both excellent in what was a pitching duel for the first six innings. Lorenzen allowed just four hits, and while he did walk three, he was able to escape jams outside of a homer from Hunter Renfroe in the fifth. The 32-year-old bounced back from his five-run outing against the Reds last week, and it lowers his ERA on the season to 3.52.   • Randy Arozarena blasts mammoth homer as Rays win
    Randy Arozarena blasted a 445-foot home run on Friday, helping to power the Rays to a 10-8 victory over the Mets.

    Advice: Wearing the Rays’ new city connect uniforms for the first time, the slumping 29-year-old outfielder appeared to be re-energized. He drew a walk in the third inning and came around to score on a sacrifice fly by Alex Jackson. Arozarena then demolished a 1-1 fastball from Dedniel Nunez in the fourth inning, belting his 445-foot (109.1 mph) solo shot. He also walked in the sixth and eighth innings, finishing the night 1-for-2 with a pair of runs scored.
