• Goes deep in loss
Garcia went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span. Garcia is tied for the Rangers' lead with 14 long balls on the season, but he's below pace to match the 39 homers and 107 RBI he racked up last year. Rotowire.com 14 minutes ago

  • Takes no-decision Monday
Lorenzen allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five-plus innings in a no-decision against Milwaukee on Monday.

Advice: Lorenzen fared relatively well in the outing, though he was pulled after allowing a leadoff double in the sixth inning having racked up 91 pitches. It was a relatively rare occurrence for the right-hander to get the hook that early -- coming into Monday, he had completed at least six frames in 10 of his 12 starts. Beyond eating up innings, Lorenzen has pitched quite effectively throughout the campaign, accumulating a 3.04 ERA and 1.16 WHIP despite a mediocre 55:31 K:BB through 77 frames. • Michael Lorenzen solid for five against Brewers
Michael Lorenzen yielded two runs in five-plus innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Brewers.

Advice: Lorenzen and Freddy Peralta pitched to a stalemate in this one. Lorenzen struck out five and walked one while throwing 91 pitches. It’s the seventh straight start in which he’s allowed three runs or fewer, and while he didn’t go deep tonight, he’s completed six innings in five of those outing and 10 of 13 starts for the year. • Fans seven in quality start
Houck allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits and a walk over 6.2 innings in a no-decision Monday. He struck out seven during the win against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Houck gave up just one run through six frames before the Blue Jays put two more runs on his final line during their five-run seventh inning. He's produced six quality starts in his last seven outings, giving him 13 through 16 total starts. Houck owns a terrific 2.18 ERA with a 101:18 K:BB through 103.1 frames. His next start is projected to be at home against the Padres. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:22 pm

  • Houck allows two earned runs in no-decision Monday
Tanner Houck allowed three runs (two earned) in 6 2/3 innings and got a no-decision in the Red Sox’ 7-6 victory over the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Houck gave up five hits, walked one and struck out seven. Boston only scored two runs while he was in the game before coming back to win late. Houck’s ERA is now 2.18 on the year and his 101 strikeouts on the season rank inside the top 15 in all of baseball. The 27-year-old right-hander is set to face the Padres at home this weekend.

  • Rehab transferred to Triple-A
Minter (hip) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Minter made an appearance with High-A Rome on Saturday, allowing an unearned run and a hit while striking out three batters over an inning on the mound. The left-hander will now take the last step in his recovery from the left hip inflammation that has kept him out since May 30, joining the Triple-A roster. Minter will likely make multiple appearances with Gwinnett before being activated from the 15-day injured list in the near future. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:53 pm

  • Sitting again amid slump
Freeman is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: For the second time in three days, Freeman will hit the bench as the Guardians open up room in center field for Daniel Schneemann. Over his last 10 games, Freeman has gone 4-for-31 at the plate, and his June swoon could end up costing him his regular spot in the starting lineup. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:57 pm

  • Paul Goldschmidt resting versus Braves
Paul Goldschmidt is being rested Monday against the Braves.

Advice: Goldschmidt’s scheduled day off was originally set for Saturday, but it was pushed back because of Nolan Arenado’s ailments. It’s happening today anyway, even though Arenado still isn’t back. Alec Burleson is playing first base. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:56 pm
  • Rare day off Monday

Advice: Goldschmidt will take a seat for the first time since May 9 and just the third time all season. Alec Burleson will start at first base Monday while Goldschmidt receives some rest. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:56 pm
