• A.J. Minter (hip) has rehab moved to Triple-A
A.J. Minter (hip) had his rehab assignment moved to Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday.

Advice: Minter is working his way back from inflammation in his left hip. The 30-year-old will likely make a few appearances with the Stripers before rejoining the Atlanta bullpen near the start of July, assuming no setbacks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:13 am

  • Takes no-decision Monday
Lorenzen allowed two runs on five hits and one walk while striking out five batters over five-plus innings in a no-decision against Milwaukee on Monday.

Advice: Lorenzen fared relatively well in the outing, though he was pulled after allowing a leadoff double in the sixth inning having racked up 91 pitches. It was a relatively rare occurrence for the right-hander to get the hook that early -- coming into Monday, he had completed at least six frames in 10 of his 12 starts. Beyond eating up innings, Lorenzen has pitched quite effectively throughout the campaign, accumulating a 3.04 ERA and 1.16 WHIP despite a mediocre 55:31 K:BB through 77 frames. • Michael Lorenzen solid for five against Brewers
Michael Lorenzen yielded two runs in five-plus innings Monday in a no-decision versus the Brewers.

Advice: Lorenzen and Freddy Peralta pitched to a stalemate in this one. Lorenzen struck out five and walked one while throwing 91 pitches. It’s the seventh straight start in which he’s allowed three runs or fewer, and while he didn’t go deep tonight, he’s completed six innings in five of those outing and 10 of 13 starts for the year. • Rehab transferred to Triple-A
Minter (hip) had his rehab assignment transferred to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Minter made an appearance with High-A Rome on Saturday, allowing an unearned run and a hit while striking out three batters over an inning on the mound. The left-hander will now take the last step in his recovery from the left hip inflammation that has kept him out since May 30, joining the Triple-A roster. Minter will likely make multiple appearances with Gwinnett before being activated from the 15-day injured list in the near future. Rotowire.com Monday, 4:53 pm

  • A.J. Minter starts rehab assignment on Saturday
A.J. Minter (hip) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Saturday with High-A Rome.

Advice: Minter has been out since late May recovering from left hip inflammation and will likely require at least a handful of rehab outings in the minors before returning to Atlanta’s bullpen mix. Rotoworld Saturday, 8:29 am

  • Beginning rehab assignment
Minter (hip) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Rome on Saturday.

Advice: Minter has been on the injured list since the end of May due to left hip inflammation, but he has now been given the green light to return to a competitive setting. It's unclear how long the 30-year-old southpaw will remain in the minors, but it shouldn't take long for him to build back up as a reliever. He currently owns a 2.95 ERA and 0.98 WHIP through 21.1 innings on the year, and he will likely reprise his role as Atlanta's main setup man upon returning to the big-league bullpen. • Continuing recovery in Arizona
Bradford (rib/back) will throw a bullpen session Friday and then be sent to the Rangers' Arizona Complex League affiliate, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Bradford has been sidelined since April with a lower-back strain and a stress fracture in his rib. However, he's been making steady progress and will continue his recovery in Arizona. While it's unclear when Bradford will start facing hitters, a return to the big-league staff shortly after the All-Star break seems feasible. Rotowire.com Friday, 4:16 pm

  • Collects another quality start
Lorenzen did not factor into the decision in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to the Mets, allowing three runs on four hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out three.

Advice: The veteran right-hander posted his sixth quality start in his last seven outings with this performance. Over that span dating back to May 13, Lorenzen has pitched to a 1.88 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 27:16 K:BB in 43 innings. He'll look to keep his stellar work going in his next start, tentatively slated to come against the Brewers on the road. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:15 pm
  • Michael Lorenzen left with no-decision versus Mets
Michael Lorenzen pitched six innings of three-run ball against the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Lorenzen left with a three-run lead, but the Texas bullpen couldn’t hold on to it. One imagines he had higher expectations after joining the world champions, but the Rangers are now 4-8 when he pitches, even though his ERA stands at 3.00. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:46 pm
