• Christopher Morel has two hits, HR in loss
Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home runs and two runs scored in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: Morel crushed a 409-foot home run off of Zach Eflin for his 13th home run on the season. Both of his hits were at least 102.7 mph, but he also struck out once in the game, so he showed his full profile. The 24-year-old is hitting just .208 on the year, so even though the power is undeniable, he’ll need to keep producing like this if he wants to remain a fixture in the lineup as the Cubs make a playoff push over the summer. • Nolan Gorman hits 15th homer in loss to Pirates
Nolan Gorman went 1-for-4 with a home run in the Cardinals’ loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman’s solo blast in the bottom of the ninth, marked his 15th homer of the season. It was also the only run the Cardinals plated on the evening, as they spent much of the night being locked down by Paul Skenes and the Pirates’ bullpen. Gorman has just three hits in his last five games and is slashing .265/.342/.618 on the month.

  • David Hamilton has two hits in loss
David Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

Advice: Hamilton is now hitting .289 on the season and came into today hitting .338 in 23 games since taking over the starting shortstop job for the Red Sox. Given that he also has 13 steals in 42 games, he deserves to be rostered in far more formats. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

  • Pops 13th home run
Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Rays.

Advice: Morel connected for this third home run of the month and 13th of the season in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old is now halfway to his long ball total from last year through 66 games. Morel only needed 107 contests to record those 26 homers in 2023, but he seems primed to play more games this season if he stays healthy, and that could result in a new career best in the power department. • Jorge Mateo hits three-run homer, O’s edge Braves
Jorge Mateo launched a three-run homer on Tuesday, propelling the Orioles to a 4-0 victory over the Braves.

Advice: Mateo made an immediate impact in his return to Baltimore’s lineup, connecting on a hanging curveball from Braves ace Max Fried, launching a no-doubter to left-center field in the second inning of his first contest back from the injured list following a one-week absence due to a concussion. It was his lone hit in three at-bats and just his fourth long ball of the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:10 pm

  • Scratched with sore hamstring
Ortiz was scratched from the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays due to right hamstring soreness, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The third baseman was penciled in atop the order with lefty Yusei Kikuchi pitching for Toronto but will instead be held out due to the hamstring issue. Andruw Monasterio replaced him at third base and the leadoff spot. Ortiz should be considered day-to-day heading into Wednesday's series finale versus the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Today, 3:48 pm

  • Joey Ortiz scratched Tuesday with hamstring injury
Joey Ortiz has been scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to right hamstring soreness.

Advice: Not great. Ortiz has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball over the last few weeks, batting .298 (31-for-104) with four homers, 15 RBI and three steals over his last 30 games. The hope here is that his absence for Tuesday’s contest against the Blue Jays is merely out of an abundance of caution. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. • On bench Tuesday
Hernandez isn't in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Rangers.

Advice: Hernandez has been the primary third baseman for the Dodgers while Max Muncy nurses an oblique injury. In the three game series versus the Yankees that ended Sunday, Hernandez went 3-for-10 with a home run and a double. With the 32-year-old on the bench Tuesday, Miguel Rojas has the start a third and will bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm
