    Christopher Morel went 2-for-4 with a solo home runs and two runs scored in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

    Advice: Morel crushed a 409-foot home run off of Zach Eflin for his 13th home run on the season. Both of his hits were at least 102.7 mph, but he also struck out once in the game, so he showed his full profile. The 24-year-old is hitting just .208 on the year, so even though the power is undeniable, he’ll need to keep producing like this if he wants to remain a fixture in the lineup as the Cubs make a playoff push over the summer.   • Nolan Gorman hits 15th homer in loss to Pirates
    Nolan Gorman went 1-for-4 with a home run in the Cardinals’ loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

    Advice: Gorman’s solo blast in the bottom of the ninth, marked his 15th homer of the season. It was also the only run the Cardinals plated on the evening, as they spent much of the night being locked down by Paul Skenes and the Pirates’ bullpen. Gorman has just three hits in his last five games and is slashing .265/.342/.618 on the month.

    David Hamilton went 2-for-4 with a double in a loss to the Phillies on Tuesday.

    Advice: Morel connected for this third home run of the month and 13th of the season in the fourth inning. The 24-year-old is now halfway to his long ball total from last year through 66 games. Morel only needed 107 contests to record those 26 homers in 2023, but he seems primed to play more games this season if he stays healthy, and that could result in a new career best in the power department.     Advice: Mateo made an immediate impact in his return to Baltimore’s lineup, connecting on a hanging curveball from Braves ace Max Fried, launching a no-doubter to left-center field in the second inning of his first contest back from the injured list following a one-week absence due to a concussion.
