    • Picks up win
Scott (5-4) struck out two batters over 1.2 perfect frames and earned a win over the Guardians on Friday.

Advice: Scott entered a tie game in the eighth inning and forced a double play to escape the first-and-third jam he inherited. He then struck out two in the ninth inning before Miami walked it off in the bottom of the frame. After some early season struggles, Scott has now gone 18 straight innings without allowing an earned run. His season ERA has fallen to 1.40 with a 27:19 K:BB through 25.2 innings. • Tanner Scott notches fifth win for Marlins
Tanner Scott pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings and notched a win in relief Friday against the Guardians.

Advice: Scott came into a tie game in the eighth and stayed in to finish after the Marlins took a one-run lead. It’s his fifth win of the year, all coming since Apr. 30. Even though he’s very much Miami’s closer, he has just three saves during that same five-week span. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

    • Brayan Rocchio hits first major league homer
Brayan Rocchio supplied both Guardians runs with his first big-league homeer Friday in a loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The homer came in his 276th career plate appearance. He has 192 so far this year, and he’s driven in a total of 11 runs. On the plus side, his defensive numbers have improved in recent weeks, and thanks to a fine 12% walk ate, his .314 OBP isn’t dreadful. Still, it’s hard to see where the fantasy upside might come from here. Rotoworld 28 minutes ago

    • Jose Siri smashes sixth home run in loss Friday
Jose Siri went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a walk and a solo home run against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: The home run was Siri’s sixth of the year. He’s hitting just .197 on the season and can’t be counted on for batting average. Siri his 25 home runs last year, though. He’s one to keep an eye on if he regains that power stroke this season. Rotoworld 44 minutes ago

    • Two triples in win
Perkins went 3-for-4 with a pair of triples, two RBI and three runs scored in Friday's 10-0 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Perkins extended Milwaukee's lead to 3-0 in the second inning with an RBI triple, the first of his career, before driving in another run with his second three-bagger in the fifth. The 27-year-old Perkins has been swinging the bat well -- he's now 13-for-30 (.433) over his last eight games with five extra-base hits and six RBI. Overall, he's slashing .260./332/.398 across 202 plate appearances this year with five homers, 32 runs scored, 21 RBI and six stolen bases. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago

    • Stellar in spot start
Myers (2-2) earned the win Friday against Detroit, allowing just one hit and three walks over eight scoreless innings. He struck out five.

Advice: After he was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Myers rejoined the Brewers' rotation Friday and delivered a fantastic effort -- he allowed a single to Matt Vierling to lead off the first inning (which was erased on a pickoff) before proceeding to hold the Tigers hitless over his final seven frames. Myers lowered his ERA to 4.15 with a 1.24 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 34.2 innings in a swing role with Milwaukee this year. He figures to stick in the rotation for now with Joe Ross (back), Robert Gasser (elbow), Jakob Junis (shoulder) and DL Hall (knee) all on the IL. Rotowire.com 55 minutes ago

    • Civale allows four runs in loss to Orioles Friday
Aaron Civale allowed four runs in five innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: Civale gave up seven hits, walked one and struck out eight. He’s won just two of his 13 starts this year. Tampa Bay acquired Civale last year and he had a 5.36 ERA in 10 starts. In 13 starts this year, his ERA is 5.91. If the Rays of all teams can’t fix him, I don’t know if any team can. The 28-year-old right-hander is set to face the Cubs at home next week. • Patrick Wisdom goes hitless as leadoff man
Patrick Wisdom went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts as the Cubs’ leadoff man Friday against the Reds.

Advice: Wisdom had never before led off a game until this season. The Cubs have tried it three times versus southpaws and watched him go 2-for-12 with seven strikeouts and no runs scored. He’s been rather productive the rest of the time, but he hasn’t been able to earn many starts against righties. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Implodes vs. Brewers
Olson (1-7) took the loss Friday against Milwaukee, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and a walk over four innings. He struck out six.

Advice: It was a brutal night for Olson, who was tagged for a career-high eight runs. The 24-year-old right-hander has now allowed 13 runs over 9.1 innings in his last two outings after holding opponents to one earned run or fewer in each of his previous six outings. Overall, Olson sports a 3.43 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP and 58:22 K:BB across 65.2 innings. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, currently scheduled for next week at home against the Nationals. Rotowire.com Today, 6:40 pm
