    • Trending towards return Monday
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli said Friday that Paddack (arm) is doing well in his rehab program and is expected to start in Monday's series opener against the White Sox, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Advice: Paddack landed on the 15-day injured list June 25 due to right forearm fatigue. Not much of a surprise, given 2024 is the 28-year-old right-hander's first full season of pitching since undergoing Tommy John surgery in May of 2022. Paddack is 5-3 over 15 starts with a 5.29 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 70:18 K:BB over 78.1 innings this season. Rotowire.com Today, 2:34 pm

    • David Hamilton sits against southpaw on Friday
David Hamilton is not in the Red Sox’ starting lineup once again with an opposing southpaw on the hill on Friday.

Advice: The 26-year-old speedster has seen his playing time squeezed as of late, as he hasn’t even been a regular against right-handed pitching this week. Once again, Enmanuel Valdez will start in his place at second base and will bat eighth for the Red Sox against Nestor Cortes and the Yankees on Friday night. Rotoworld Today, 1:11 pm

    • Not in Boston lineup
Hamilton is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Hamilton has now started just two of the last six contests. He and Enmanuel Valdez have been sharing starts at second base against righties but will be Valdez at the keystone Friday versus lefty Nestor Cortes. Rotowire.com Today, 12:50 pm

    • Chris Paddack (arm) could rejoin Twins Monday
RHP Chris Paddack (arm) could be back with the Twins as early as Monday.

Advice: Paddack was placed on the 15-day injured list with arm fatigue retroactive to June 22nd. His time on the IL will be up on Sunday. The Twins sent down David Festa and replaced him with a bullpen arm, which could be a sign that Paddack is ready to rejoin the Twins rotation as early as Monday. Paddack is 5-3 with a 5.29 ERA in 15 starts with Minnesota this year. Rotoworld Today, 9:58 am

    • Dominant in rehab outing
Snell (groin) struck out nine over five scoreless innings in his rehab start Wednesday with Triple-A Sacramento. He allowed no hits and issued one walk.

Advice: Making his third rehab start with Sacramento since landing on the 15-day injured list June 3, Snell made quick work of the Reno lineup, needing just 67 pitches (46 strikes) to record 15 outs. Based on how well he performed in addition to increasing his workload, Snell should be ready to return from the IL next week to make his next start with the Giants. Snell should slot back into the rotation as soon as next Tuesday's series opener versus the Blue Jays. Rotowire.com Today, 9:53 am

    • Singles, scores in win
Andujar went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Angels on Thursday.

Advice: Andujar's third-inning single plated Brett Harris with the Athletics' first run of the afternoon. The timely knock marked the eighth time in the last 10 games Andujar has reached safely, helping keep his average at an impressive .293 despite some cooling off following a blistering start to the season. The veteran has flashed average pop -- only nine of his 41 hits have gone for extra bases -- but his modest 14.3 percent strikeout rate continues to give him plenty of opportunities to have the ball drop in. • Collects two thefts Thursday
Hamilton went 1-for-5 with a walk, an RBI, two runs and two stolen bases against the Marlins in Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings victory.

Advice: Hamilton scored Boston's first two runs of the contest, then collected a go-ahead RBI on a groundout in the 12th frame. The infielder also recorded two swipes of third base, moving him up to fourth in MLB with 23 stolen bases (on 24 attempts) for the season. Though Hamilton has seen his playing time dry up a bit of late, he has continued to produce fairly well. Despite hitting just .200 over his past 35 at-bats, he's recorded a home run, five RBI, eight runs and nine stolen bases during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:09 pm

    • Posts big offensive line Thursday
O'Neill went 3-for-5 with a double, a walk, a run, two RBI and two stolen bases in a 6-5 extra-innings win against Miami on Thursday.

Advice: O'Neill accounted for three of Boston's eight total hits to record his third consecutive multi-hit effort. He came up big in extra frames, recording an RBI single in the 11th inning and adding the game-winning RBI on a double in the 12th. O'Neill also collected two thefts in the contest after notching just one steal (on one attempt) over his first 60 games of the season. Swiping bags probably won't become a trend for the outfielder moving forward, though it's worth noting that he stole 29 combined bases across the 2021 and 2022 campaigns while with St. Louis. • Productive in win
Naylor went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and two runs scored in Thursday's 8-4 win over the White Sox.

Advice: In addition to his two hits, Naylor also got aboard on a fielder's choice and a catcher interference. The first baseman endured a 3-for-20 stretch over six games from June 22-28, but he's bounced back with a trio of multi-hit efforts over his last five contests. Overall, he's at a .243/.322/.497 slash line with 20 home runs, 63 RBI, 48 runs scored, 16 doubles and three stolen bases through 81 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm
