      Advice: An error by the usually sure-handed Masyn Winn in the second inning ultimately allowed two runs to score. In the fifth, Lynn and catcher Ivan Herrera each committed an error as well, allowing the Phillies to generate another two runs. Since the Cardinals' defense let him down, Lynn will avoid any damage on his ERA, which is now at 3.23 on the year after this short outing. He's allowed at least four runs in four of his last six starts, which is the more concerning issue at hand. Lynn also has a poor 1.34 WHIP and 57:25 K:BB through 61.1 innings. It was Soto's third multi-homer performance as a Yankee, all coming over his last 15 games. During that stretch, he's gone 22-for-57 (.386) with 12 extra-base hits and 19 RBI.       Lance Lynn wasn’t at his best in Sunday night’s no-decision against the Phillies, surrendering four runs on three hits over his four-plus frames.

      Advice: The right-hander struck out four batters on the night while issuing a pair of free passes. The Phillies scratched out a pair of runs against him in the second inning on an RBI double by Garrett Stubbs and a ground ball by Johan Rojas. Lynn then allowed a two-run single to Stott in the fifth inning before turning the ball over to the bullpen.       Juan Soto crushed a go-ahead two-run homer off of Camilo Doval in the ninth inning on Sunday, powering the Yankees to a come-from-behind 7-5 victory over the Giants.

      Advice: The Yankees entered the ninth inning trailing 5-3, but things got tighter in a hurry after a one-out RBI triple off the bat of Anthony Volpe. Two pitches later, Soto uncorked a 398-foot (108.2 mph EV) two-run shot that gave the Yankees a 6-5 lead. The 25-year-old superstar also opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 430-foot (108.7 mph EV) solo shot off of Blake Snell in the top half of the first inning.       Aaron Judge singled twice, walked twice and swiped a pair of bases as the Yankees rallied to defeat the Giants on Sunday afternoon in San Francisco.

      Advice: Judge singled off of Blake Snell in the opening inning and stole second base, but the Yankees were unable to cash him in. He also drew a walk during the Bombers’ four-run rally in the ninth inning, swiped second base, took third on a throwing error and scored on an RBI double off the bat of Giancarlo Stanton.       Ryan McMahon singled and drew a pair of walks as the Rockies were shut out by Gavin Stone and a host of Dodgers’ relievers on Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.

      Advice: As a team, the Rockies totaled just five hits in the contest, with only one of them (a double by Charlie Blackmon) going for extra bases.       Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday that Gerrit Cole (elbow) will need at least a couple of minor league rehab starts before he’s ready to make his 2024 debut.

      Advice: Cole will make his first minor league rehab start at Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. His next turn will come five days after that. If he needs just two starts, his regular season debut would likely come against the Red Sox at some point during their series starting on June 14. If he needs a third tune-up in the minor leagues, it’s likely that his debut would come the following week against the Braves. As long as he avoids any setbacks, his return appears to be imminent.       Advice: The 33-year-old has thrown multiple sessions of live batting practice over the past couple weeks and has now been cleared to pitch in minor-league games.
