• Dealing with rotator cuff injury
Yamamoto (triceps) was diagnosed with a right rotator cuff strain Sunday, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Yamamoto was lifted from his start Saturday versus the Royals in the third inning with right tricep tightness before being placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday. It is now understood to a rotator cuff injury, which is certainly a more significant diagnosis. Manager Dave Roberts said that the injury is not "season ending" but it's "going to be some time" before the right-hander will be able to return. In regards to his replacement in the Dodgers' starting rotation, Bobby Miller (shoulder) is expected to return to the major-league roster Wednesday. It's unclear how much of a factor Yamamoto will be for fantasy managers the rest of the season. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago

  • Mediocre in victory
Berrios (6-5) picked up the win Sunday against Cleveland, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and zero walks while striking out one batter over six innings.

Advice: Berrios was one out away from recording his 12th quality start of the season, but Daniel Schneemann launched a two-run shot with two outs in the sixth, the only extra-base hit yielded by Berrios. Over his past 10 starts, the 30-year-old has allowed a home run in nine of them, recording a 4.32 ERA and a 1.18 WHIP across 60.1 innings in that span. Berrios will look to bounce back in his next start, currently scheduled for next weekend in Cleveland. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

  • Tyler Glasnow shuts down Royals, strikes out nine
Tyler Glasnow cruised against the Royals on Sunday, striking out nine over seven innings in the Dodgers’ 3-0 shutout.

Advice: Glasnow walked only one and needed just 85 pitches to get his 21 outs today. The victory snapped a four-game losing streak in which the Dodgers just couldn’t score runs for him. He’s 7-5 with a 3.00 ERA and a 125/25 K/BB in 93 innings for the year. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

  • Brady Singer tagged for three homers in loss
Brady Singer allowed three runs, all of them coming on solo homers, over six innings Sunday in a loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: At least Singer got beaten by the best, giving up two homers to Shohei Ohtani and one to Freddie Freeman. Singer has opened June by surrendering 13 runs — 11 earned — in 15 1/3 innings. He’s a solid enough fantasy option with the Royals playing well, but he might prove droppable later this season. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

  • Shohei Ohtani homers twice in Dodgers’ win
Shohei Ohtani launched his 18th and 19th homers of the year Sunday off the Royals’ Brady Singer in a 3-0 win.

Advice: The Dodgers’ other run came on the second of back-to-back homers from Freddie Freeman in the sixth. Ohtani’s first homer today was crushed 451 feet to center. Ohtani had been slumping some of late, having come in at .216/.310/.412 in June. He’s still fifth in the majors in OPS (.976), sixth in average (.309), fourth in homers and tied for fifth in runs scored (53). Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

  • Josh Fleming goes four scoreless in return
Josh Fleming, who was called up by the Pirates on Friday, pitched four scoreless innings in a start Sunday versus the Rockies.

Advice: The Pirates could have used an opener today to give Fleming a shot at a win, but they decided not to. The victory instead went to Carmen Mlodzinski, who entered with a 1-0 lead after four and worked two hitless frames. Fleming came into the day with a 5.68 ERA in one start and 16 relief appearances for the Pirates. He’s not assured additional starts. Rotoworld 51 minutes ago

  • Dakota Hudson gets pulled in sixth versus Pirates
Dakota Hudson yielded three runs in 5 1/3 innings Sunday in a loss to the Pirates.

Advice: It was one-run through five, but the Pirates ended up totaling five runs against Hudson and Viktor Vodnik in the sixth, denying Hudson what would have been a fourth quality start in his last five tries. He fell to 2-9 with a 4.89 ERA. Rotoworld 52 minutes ago

  • Could be back Wednesday
Cole (elbow) could be reinstated from the 60-day injured list to start Wednesday's game versus the Orioles at Yankee Stadium, Chris Kirschner of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The Yankees have confirmed Nestor Cortes and Luis Gil as their starting pitchers for games Tuesday and Thursday versus Baltimore, but a starter has yet to be made for Wednesday while the club weighs whether to activate Cole for his season debut, or to have him make another minor-league rehab start. While shifting his assignment from Double-A Somerset to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Cole delivered a gem in his third rehab outing Friday, striking out 10 over 4.1 innings while allowing one unearned run on two hits and no walks. He tossed 70 pitches in the start, so Cole would likely have a slight cap on his workload if he were to rejoin the New York rotation Wednesday. If the Yankees decide to have Cole make one more start in the minors, Cody Poteet would likely get another turn through the big-league rotation. Rotowire.com Today, 3:16 pm

  • Roughed up by Mets
Cease (6-6) took the loss as he went 3.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits and three walks Sunday versus the Mets.

Advice: From the jump Cease just didn't have his best stuff on Sunday, he allowed the first four hitters to score after serving up homers to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso. The 28-year-old gave up a season-high seven runs in what was his shortest outing of the campaign. After pitching to a 2.19 ERA over his first eight starts, the righty has run into a rough patch giving up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts and seeing his ERA climb to 3.95 in the process.
